Which support hereos are pos 4 and 5?
Alright I have been getting confused on what is considered a position 4 and 5 in the support life, because in most of the hero builds alot of them have items that require atleast a somewhat okay amount of farm throughout the game, and honestly heroes can synch well with certain items ex. A CM with a BKB or Shadow Blade (It's the best I could come up with off the top of my head) can some of these heroes be played both positions or is it just a coin toss on how much they need certain items over levels?

I believe that higher numbers mean lower farm priority. A 4 support might be jungling for a fast blink or mek or something, while a 5 support is entirely devoted to ganking.

There are no hard and fast rules about it really, just general trends. Like sure CM can be more useful with a bkb or a shadow blade, but really these things only really effect her ability to get off a long ult. She still brings a lot of function with very few items, and isn't changed that much by having more. Lion is similar in that he really only needs a blink digger to reach almost peak effectiveness. Jakiro is probably the best example of a fifth as he needs nothing but eul's.

Heroes like Lina Ogre magi and especially earth shaker, need key items to become very effective, or can make much more use of having more items, so you typically run these 4th (or actually core as is often the case). All of these heroes can technically play either spot though.

Unless you are playing at a pretty high skill level I wouldn't sweat it too much as in most pub games there isn't much of a distinction between 4th and 5th.

The way I have always seen it (based on what I have read) is that 5 is the consumable buyer the one that puts money into wards, dust, ect, and get items that help them function while a pos 4 is one that normally buys items that help the team, or need more items to help the team, but normally still have low farm priority, and also, again I read this somewhere so correct me if I am wrong, I heard a roaming support is somewhat situational based on what lane setup, and heroes you are running. Jungling as a support can be a little difficult unless you are somebody like CM that can frostbite a creep for ez gold, but again my sources may be invalid.

Alright thanks for the help I guess I just need to follow the meta, but remember that everything is a bit situational.
