hero stops moving and must reconnect to move it again

having a problem here, it always happen, after the lag spikes coming from nowhere I cant control my hero after that, bu i can chat and move the camera, just the hero, HELP

Yeah, same problem here, NO LAG SPIKES, hero just stopped moving,i buyed items from shop i could hear the ding sound but NOTHING happened, then i needed to reconnect, i died in a teamfight, my friend got stuck on a cliff while evading a failed teamfight and then they killed him cause he needed to reconnect.


VALVE PLEASE FIX THIS!

yea dude, in our game last night 3 of us has the same problem, so i thought we're the only one,

Not normal , they even freeze my character ...
I can write in chat , i can click , but not order appear .

Happens to me too
No lag spikes before, 1 min off the start of the game and character freezes while i can type in chat and see others move freely
it happens in each and every game i play for the last 4 days, only way to unfreeze is to dc then rc ... and for this i got into low prio (thanks volvo) ... at least reset the dc count if I reconnect

Same here, It happens sporadically, but on average about every 15 seconds. My character stops moving as though i'm lagging out, but everything is still happening around me. It's not network related, i'm sure of that much.

DOTA2 got hit by some plague . Almost every one is having disconnections!!
If you are facing LAG/Spikes or any similar problems there are only a few options

1. Change Network connection to LOW in settings.
2. Restart all of your devices in a sequential manner .
3. Lower down your graphics settings.
4. Close background applications such as torrents
5. WiFi is a big NO! NO! you have to use a wired connection.
4. If you are in SEA(like me) you are pretty much screwed becuse IPS do not give a damn about your requirments (yes I am raging , kindof :| ) so the best solution is to get a ping routing software that can help communitcate with game server quickly. I am using Kill Ping[www.killping.com]. Works out for me, you can find a few other alternatives too, though they got upto 80% off sale currently.
