Impossible to get TI tickets?
I waited for 10am and now 10pm's ticket sales, at both times I get this:

"Sorry, no tickets from venue currently..."

how is an entire stadium sold out in 30 seconds??? WTF! Going to the college football national championship was easier than this...

now, the only way to get tickets will be 200% more expensive from a shady dealer website...

scalpers had bots set to buy the tickets as soon as they went up at both times, it sucks i was gonna buy some tickets and fly over from aus, they really are the worst kind of people to buy every single ticket, paying some shady scalper guy 600$+ for general admission is just ridiculous, valve really needs to do something about how they sell the tickets to stop this

its an easy fix, just like plane tickets, make them non-transferable...

i would laugh so bloody hard if valve just updated that....the amount of people crying about their bank accounts XD
Destruktikus Mar 27, 2015 @ 10:19pm
they are non transferable digitally, but if you have a physical ticket you can just give them out to whoever, and ticketmaster do physical tickets, so they're basically just selling the physical ticket to whoever, since there's no id on the ticket or an id check when you hand the ticket over

You can only buy 5 Tickets max per household...

if you where trying to buy the tickets you'd have seen that before the page even loaded after they went live they where sold out, no ammount of people are that fast, i'm not even speculating on this, just telling people on here what ive read and heard about the first realease sales and since the same thing happened to the 2nd realease it's pretty obvious they did it again (i was at both lot of sales)

What you guys can do (and what I've already done) is report the problem. I don't know if it will help but perhaps if enough people do it?
Ticketmaster: http://help.ticketmaster.com/contact-us/
Reporting an illegal Ebay listing (reselling those tickets isn't allowed): http://ocsnext.ebay.com/ocs/sr?search=1&query=1732&popularTool=true&st=0&popularToolName=Report+an+item

first experience with ticket master, so angry
Ealord Mar 27, 2015 @ 10:39pm
faking waiting in the quneue for 10+mins and was told no tickets left, faking ticketmaster and ti5
Maverick Mar 27, 2015 @ 10:40pm
Would be great if Valve gave priority to people who had at least 50 games played? Then 100's of free bot accounts with zero Dota2 played would not have purchased all the tickets...

Key arena can hold 17,459 people, I can't believe it sold out that fast....

EDIT: Give Vets with over 500 games first dibs on tickets, then scale down from there. That way valve rewards their most die-hard fans, still sells out, and everyone is happy!

Like every year, I will take time off work, fill my refrigerator full of beer, get a fat bag of sticky icky, and watch the tournament on my big screen television along with my cousin in the comforts of my living room..Can't wait till TI5
Destruktikus Mar 27, 2015 @ 11:11pm
i'll be doing the same pretty much, just would have really liked to go this year and be caught up in the atmosphere, meet some of the pro players, buy stuff from the secret shop, shame it's been ruined by scalpers buying tickets with bots

I think I may have to do the same if my buddy doesn't come though

Made a petition for making tickets non-transferable:

Have never made one before so I hope it works. =)
