i do think tranquil boots is a decent boots however, for various other heros that don't include axe. any hero with really low built in armor who needs to get their armor up quickly, any hero who is out of combat for long periods of time such as earth shaker, pudge, phoenix, lion, lich, kotl, shadow shaman, ect. this even allows lion or shaman to run into position to use their low range hard cc.
I agree with Axe being a poor hero choice for Tranquil. On some level i feel Arcana far better for Pudge in my experience, but that because I'm rarely going back to fountain due to style of play usually out of mana more often than health. So in my opinion Tranquil are not useful on a Pudge.
I agree that heroes who don't need mana and tend to linger around battles not really getting into the fray such as CM, Lich etc... I would more likely consider the Item, but i find it has extremely limited usefulness.
they go gank, kill a hero, then go to another lane, and by the time they reach it they'd already regenerated their health.
not to mention even on cooldown, Tranqs give the second highest movement speed.
Another thing is how people keep forgetting that even if broken, tranquils still provide that +60ms AND 4 amour which is a lot in the early game. Moreover, hero that roams a lot can really benefit from the speed and regen when moving from lane to lane.
also i believe pudge starts off with low armor, and the boots help a little
Then don't build them. It's not really a big deal if you find something else works better for you.
I'm certain you understand that the likely hood that Axe or Pudge leaves a fight above half health is very low especially if they have done a good job disrupting the farm of the other team. Please understand that 20 secs of healing from Tranquil Boots is only 300 hp. If i am marginally wrong that Tranquil Boots will take you 1 minute to fully heal a lvl 6 Pudge as you generally have 900+ hp at that phase of the game with Pudge.
I don't know about you but I don't plan on waiting a Minute to set up my next engagement when I'm roaming the map.
This post was never really about myself using them. I am just not understanding the reasoning others chose to use them. I simply agree to disagree.
I wouldn't even be mad if I saw a CK with Arcanes given the guy's crippling mana problems. Hell, one of the more common builds I see starts off with a null talisman.
I don't care if you build Butterfly on Crystal Maiden so long as you have some plan up your sleeve and can execute it well. If it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid.
Used to be good on riki for quick hp regen.
Some heros like lion and kotl, and sometimes crystal maiden get it because of how much mana they have.
Huge movement speed for roaming. and the hp regen + armour means you can escape fights much better and be in better shape for defense/pushing/whatever you need to do,
also, Tranquil + Soulring is a good alternative for heroes who like to spam spells and need to move faster when not in teamfights (aka Winter Wyvern, Phoenix, Shadow Demon etc.)
In other words, it provides enough sustain that healing salves are no longer needed.
whilst the regen may seem slow, its enough for most situations when you have to roam.
cuz it seems he has a hard on for tranq boots and everyone uses his guide cuz of popularity and they don't think about how, when or why this would work they just use it w/o thinking same goes for torte de lini it seems on most heroes he copies from the dev suggested guide but he added an item so i guess its something he came up with
The reason why tranq boots were good on any tank/right-clicker is they used to be an active item and have a 9 sec cool down that made it worth it for heroes that wanted to take a hit, but now they are passive and have a 13 sec cool down if i recall, so that's 13 sec your waiting for them to be of some use and then another what 10-20 sec to heal depending on the hero wow that's something like 2-4 team fights depending on whats going on in the match.
yep such a useful boot on right-clickers/tanks nope don't get it on a cm that would have a better use for them seeing as how she does not want to get hit nor right-click i think they call them casters hmm who knows anymore people seem to not think there are rolls in this game cuz they think oh look ill play wd and not support, ill play carry wooo and they lose the game, or they win the game cuz the other team fails and don't know to counter wd same goes for the other supportive heroes in this game.
apparently you need tranq boots to jungle as ursa, my friends were in a game where this ursa got TB when they asked him why he said i need them to jungle, so ya i give up on believing that people have logic and for-thought anymore.
