Earthshaker is not good to counter Phantom Lancer.

Sorry for the provoking title, I just want you to come here :)

Of course earthshaker is a good counter to a fed PL, ES counters PL so well FOR ONCE EVERY 2 MINUTES.

This is just something I want to say to some uncreative players who lack exploring and basically play by the book. I just want to help, I mean no offense.

A good counter (in my opinion) is a hero that can ALWAYS (or at least 80% of the time) shut off an enemy hero.

So if you think ES's ECHO SLAM is good against PL's JUXTAPOSE, you're not wrong, but remind yourself that echo slam is only available once per 2 mins.
I bet you know how often juxtapose procs.

So if you think juxtapose is such a cancer, you should get something else that procs more or as often as Juxtapose.

Let me see....
Sven's cleave

Learn Sven, buy him a Blink Dagger, get into the middle of PL's swarm of illusions, stun, then hit ANYTHING YOU WANT. I can promise you, if you brain enough, the illusions are gone.

Axe is only strong on early midgame, and he's strongest when he's on berserker call

It adds 40 armor to him, just armor, not magic resistance.

If you know someone picked axe then you go apesheet about how strong he is just because you have an all physical damaging heroes team, who's the stupid one?

Not getting caught in berserker call may not be an easy thing to perform. But berserker's call is the key of when you need to step away or get near an Axe.
List of things that Axe hates = poisons, constant spammable nukes, mana burn, DESOLATOR

In my experience, the best counter to him are unavoidable disables, such as Axe and Pudge. Different story late game, but you don't let it go there.

oh you clearly havent seen much PL users who can survive one echo slam and then pops his illusions back out

I counter lategame PL with Sven, but I use Jugg-bfury more often

I totally agree with OP. sven is my only bane as meepo, and i laugh off earth shakers past early game. earth shaker can make a few cheap plays early on, but late game not so much. even if he lands everything it is laughed off late game, and earth shaker will die real fast.

Yeah sven is crazy, and since not many people can be good at him, it's not nerfed, heck it was even buffed (aghs upgrade) :|
Lategame, he cleans up everything faster than any know hard-hitting carries, in my opinion

aa with aghs, hit a pl that was at half hp with a heart, he tried to get back home, he never made it, (no one hit him, he was on the otherside of the map)

Under farmed/no item PL is an easy pray for ES, once PL got item especially heart, nothing can ES do but dying...

An underfarmed carry in general is prey to anything.

ES is just not an easy hero to play with. A competent player with a half-decent team that can finish things off for him will just melt PL.
I'll never forget a particularly bad game(way back in DotA1, so PL was kinda different) where an ES completely dominated me even 40 mins into the game and fully farmed. That was back when PL could split push and his ulti still gave mres I think, right now things are even worse for him I'd bet.
