Ways to grind mmr?
I'm at really low mmr because of calibrating at lvl 13. I've tried supporting and Anti-mage and they both seem to work well.

Any other good ways to grind mmr?

Heroes that bad players can't deal with well:

- Riki
- Sniper
- Axe
- Necro
- Slark
- Void
- PA
- PL

The list goes on...

Personal favourite is Spirit Breaker. Get a Ghost Sceptre.

First of all, your mmr reflects your skill at this moment. Your mmr might be a bit wrong, but no more than 200 points. If you want to raise in mmr, you have got to improve your game. Every little thing you learn is gonna get you a few mmr points... So grinding mmr is just about improving your skills in the game

probably not what you wanted to hear...

It's something everyone needs to understand though.

OP - if you do play a pubstomping hero then it can be very easy to fall into bad habits (that will lose you games when you get higher) and still dominate the lower tier games. For example, relying on Riki's invis. Try to avoid this.

So you're saying that I'm at the same skill level I was at when I was level 13 and spammed Sniper and Drow Ranger.

Do not 'grind' MMR, that will place you above your skill bracket and make the game way way harder and way less fun.

Just keep playing, you may be working wtih idiots but so is the other team. If you are correct that you are better than your MMR bracket then your win rate will creep above 50% and you will rise up.

The best thing to do if you truly are above your mmr bracket is to assume the role of leader (that dont mean screaming at noobs), give advice to your fellow players and choose a hero that compliments your teams picks rather than relying on them to make inteligent picks after you.

Unless you are rediculously above your peers you wont be able to stomp every game, but by communicating and coordinating you can push things significantly into your favour.

MMR is supposed to be a general measure of your skill- attempting to grind out a higher MMR will just lead you to losing a lot of games and a lot of frustration. Focus on improving your skills at DotA instead.
