So, Night Stalker...
...how come we don't have Day Walker? I didn't played the original Dota, so I don't know if there is one, but do you think it'd be possible having an opposite version of Balanar that had stats buff during the day? I know Keeper of the Light haves a day vision similar to Night Stalker's, but no carry haves a similar ability right?

Plus, I could the the SFM fuel:
"Die monster! You don't belong in this match."
"It was not by my hand that I am once again given respawn. I was called here by radiants, who wish to pay me feed."
"Feeding? You steal people's frags, and make them your farm."
"Perhaps the same could be said of ALL carries..."
"Your words are as empty as your build, hero-kind ill needs a saviour such as you."
"What is a hero? A miserable little pile of gold, but enough talk. Have at you!"

If you want to pick a hero that gets stronger based on the game clock, you can already pick Nightstalker- I think repeating the exact same concept, just slightly tweaked, probably doesn't hold a lot of appeal for most people. They'd rather see something else entirely.

As Deepblue pointed out, it sounds like he'd basically be the same as Night Stalker other than being effective for the other half of the game. And plus, part of what makes Night Stalker good is the ability to summon night on command. The new hero would probably need a similar ultimate, and I could just see the two clashing so hard.

That was actually what I wanted to see when I've had that idea. Of course, you two DO have a point, it'd be very similar and maybe wouldn't hold appeal. Still, it's weird to see some story with a vampire and no vampire hunter.

I am pretty sure Balanar isn't a vampire. More like a demon of the night or something. If it was a vampire you would expect something more involved with you know like blood?
Raxyz, consider that every hero already have debuffs during night. This could be seen like having a buff during day time, compared to night time. But I see, you mean someone who further gets buffed during day time..
Anyway, that was my point of view...

Well, he got a few references from Bram Stoker's Dracula, all the more when you realize that Bram Stoker depiction of a vampire is more akin to a demon than the vampire we know nowadays.

It's a valid point. Most heroes do have more vision during the day (Balanar being the most notable exception), plus forcing daylight would mean harder to gank and be ganked, who is the exact opposite purpose of Night Staker's Darkness.

Well, it's not like I expected that they will create a hero based on this, but I was just wondering what'd be like.

I never really got that impression from him. What are you talking about, specifically?

There have been many interpretations of Vampires over the years. I think there are a few modern action-movies that portray vampires as more monstrous, but Bram Stoker's novel wasn't one of them AFAIK.

Some that resembles both the movie and the book Dracula

And the long lasting vampire~werewolf rivality

And about Bram Stoker's portayal, it is. I've just read it in February. Of course, his power is much below, for example, Alucard from Hellsing, Stephen King's Salem Slot or even Rachel from Blaz Blue. But his depiction of a vampire's power is more akin to a demon that I've previously thought, hence why most of his weaknesses were holy artifacts. So despite his various weaknesses that is shown on the book, he is still treated as a demon.

NS is based on vampire thats why. And i dont think there is a character that roams in daylight. that pretty sucks.
