Is Saying "EZ" After a Match a New Trend Now?

I'm completely dumbstruck. Anyone care to explain why no one says "gg" anymore after a good evenly met match? I'm seeing less and less people say gg after matches now, it's either dead silent in the chat, random profanity, report (____), commend me, or the most common one I see nowadays: "EZ".
Sometimes I understand if one team just completely dominates, but still, what's the joy in saying "ez game nubs"? Feigning dominance? Making up for something else? Just because it's on the internet? I actually want a real reason as to why people think it's cool to say "ez" after a fun match.

Ending a fun game with someone saying this on either team just makes me angry. If this is some kind of new trend, it's a pretty annoying one. That's for sure.

yes apparently it is, it is also super annoying when you barely lose a game and the opponent says EZ as a sort of insult. I think they do it because the jerks think it looks cool when it really makes you look like a jerk.

meh... i just say "gg". if my team played well, i'll congratulate them and stuff. I do mess around with the opponnents though making some jokes when they fail or something, but I don't really like to act disrespectful. we already have a bad reputation. known as a toxic community full of immature players. no need to add more fuel to that.

most of the time I ignore though. if it was a stomp, well, it happens, but if it was an even match, you just look silly when you say "ez", especially when you weren't that great to begin with.

Once i was playing sniper.

The enemy juggernaut killed me with the help of bounty hunter two times in lane because i had lag and couldn't even move.

Both of the times,he said "ez".

After that i hit lvl 6 and started owning.Every time me or team would score a kill,i would spam "ez".

I spammed it so much that i was muted by one of their players and another one abandoned.

Eventually my team also started spamming ez.

Later me and a team-mate caught jug off guard,i killed him and spammed "ez".

He said,"2v1 ez??" (Implying that he had killed me in lane alone without any help)

People's memories are really selective when it comes to these things. This kind of double standard also happens a lot in my games, where people conveniently forget.

i played phantom assassin(pa) and i rekt other team and said ez and lifestealer from other team told me gj u learned eazy hero so lifes is so hard )= i mean is that bad if i play eazy hero on mmr to raise a bit my mmr mhm i don't think so and ofc when i am playing with ppl and some dc and the guy who dc is sniper or someone like that they say no pause u picked noob pick and things like that lol

I think the real question here is: Why are you getting angry over something some random dude said on the internet who you will never see or talk to again?

If game ended about 25 mins then it is ez. But if sombody writes it after 1 hour game thats sarcasm you shouldnt get mad about that :D
