I dont understand ethereal blade

I've been playing meepo and people said to try ethereal.

I have been, but is the 40% extra magic damage passive or only on active?

Also, why use the active when the description says your target is made invincible "unable to be attacked." ???

Can someone give an example of how to use this to my advantage for meepo or what it does for him besides agility boost?

1 dont buy it untill you have aghanims scepter. (this is always your first big item this item is your hero)

2 highest agi on one item

3 can be used on clones to stop them dying.

There's a few people on Reddit that absolubtely preach Meepo E-blade and i can see why. I see a few Meepo's in my games and by far the most succesful ones get E-blade, the stats are crazy good, bulldozes towers and heroes alike.

ok, this is what i mean. How is the active any good if your target cannot be attacked? How is this possible? If I cast on someone, how can i nuke them if they are invincible? (cannot attack or be attacked)

Amplifys magic damage by 40%

meepo has a lot of magic damage
it can be used to protect meeplets
it gives him better damage that a rapier.

cannot be attacked means cant be right clicked they still take any magic or pure damage from spells such as meepos poof

Read it again. Ethereal means you can't be AUTOATTACKED or affected by PHYSICAL damage, however you take extra damage from MAGICAL damage.

This goes well with Poof, which already does tons of burst damage.

Here's the practical application of Etheral OP.

It's a relatively weak base nuke that scales with your primary attribute and adds bonus damage for other spells used on the ethereal opponent after it. Due to the components used to make it, it's really good on agility heroes, although you'll see it on other hero types as well (Tinker, etc).

Say your Meepo uses ethereal on an opponent. Your going to due potentialy high damage depending on your agility. The opponent is then put in ethereal form where they take big bonus damage from each one of your poofs.

The description said target cannot be attacked. It was confusing me making me think they were invincible to all damage.

Also, people say meepo can really push towers, but i am just not seeing it. Anytime i touch a tower that i have snuck off to to try to take down, whole enemy team TPS or runs up outta nowhere and destroys me.

Oh you can split push! Oh you can get BOTS and destroy. Yeah I prolly just suck or whatever, but i find that what people SAY works and what actually works are two different things.

All i know is my solo mmr gets worse the more i practice.
