NO SOUND IN DOTA 2

I'm having no sound in dota 2 at all. anyone knows how to fix it? all my other games works just fine but DOTA 2. please I need feedback.

make sure your system volume is up. Open dota two, then open your volume mixer by right clicking on your volume speaker icon in the lower right (assuming it's there cause I don't know about mac). Make sure dota is turned up.

If it is, open up dota and go to your settings, make sure master volume, game volume, etc are turned up. Make sure your "default audio" device within the dota settings is set to the appropriate output.

If everything checks out, but the game is still not giving you sound, verify, then reinstall if necessary.

This is how I solved a muted Dota 2:

The volume was working in other apps and the volume was set to 100% in Dota.

I went to the in-game settings, clicked the AUDIO tab.

There are VOLUME, AUDIO and VOICE sections in the Audio tab.

In the Audio section I clicked Sound Device (the first parameter/option) and changed it.

And that was it; I could then go back or stay in the one I had selected; the sound was working fine now.

I fixed this by searching volume mixer in settings, opened it, then reset it to default. it happened me today in 2019

that's not the fault of DotA, but your own system. Dota never touches volume mixer settings

that's how you fix something. DOTA 2 had no sound, and I found this method. all other games had sounds
