They're squeezing their brain-juice on "How to make the game more complicated" & "Thicker Content"
Not Brushing Up the core reasons why everybody loved the original DOTA.
So many problems with this patch ... along side many new changes from the past patches.
I'll list a few.
・Was Universal Hero Attribute Class Necessary if it was going to cause this weird change? 0.45 per attribute is so dumb & feeling unrewarding. Honestly, they should trash the idea if it's causing them trouble balancing heroes.
Solution : Just scrap the "Universal" idea and go back to STR/INT/AGI only.
・People forced to go jungle because of Neutral Items. Why are the devs continuously introducing "ways to play the game" which is "Forceful" instead of "Creative"? Neutral Items is another idea that should be scrapped.
Solution : I would rather see "Neutral Items" Scrapped, over all.
Instead of "Neutral Items" why not introduce something like "Red Elemental Orb" "Green Elemental Orb" and "Blue Elemental Orb" which can be dropped by the Tormentor. These Elemental Orbs can be used to power up items. If it was applied, it'll increase the Stats-Gain of that item as an "Orb Enhanced" Item. Some items will completely change the way they look, like Blink Dagger into Swift Blink, Arcane Blink, Overwhelming Blink. (*These Blinks don't combine with 2800 items anymore*)
+No More Shard from Tormentor. Some Heroes don't want Shard (e.g. Undying Shard)
Result : People won't be forced to go farming in Jungle anymore for Neutral Items. (It shouldn't have been like that anyways)
・Input Lag. It's so bad.
Solution:The Devs were able to design 7.37 without Input Lag, so they should know what's causing this problem. Fix it, it's so annoying.
I don't know why, but the Devs want to "Patternize" the way players play, from "Which creep camps are allowed to pull" to "Making Tormentor so profitable that it's an easy disadvantage avoiding it"
I'm not sure why the Devs want to "FORCE" a style of play, instead of leaving "Space"/"Room" for creativity inside a match.
Did IceFrog quit designing DOTA2? Because it completely feels like it.
p.s. Talent Tree is Amazing, Facets are Amazing, Innate Abilities are Amazing. I just get the impression they manage to screw up 7, and dazzle us with 3, so a 7:3 ratio.
This patch is actually the biggest garbage Dota ever had.
Path Of Ancients 2? World of Dotacraft?
One thing they did right was putting Roshan back into the river, so you don't have to contest it so far away, but in general this patch is for real G A R B A G E.
But what can we do? It's Valve, they do whatever they want KEK.
7.37 is literally dump and plain compared to this. Its like you eat sushi everyday and now 7.38 you get the steak. O my God its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Good.
I like how they rework silencer and how they rework roshan when he throw heroes
Although I don't use Invoker, I feel so bad, so sorry for Invoker users that got such treatment.
It's a hard hero to play, and making it unrewarding sounds like a gamer turn-off.
Don't Devs have the worry of ruining a beautiful game?
Or are they corrupted with Greed & Pride that they don't hear the voice of players anymore?
If they ever did, it's like 5%, because the forums keeps on addressing "what people enjoy" & "what people don't enjoy" but I don't think the R&D department is taking any notes.
They think we are just throwing insults all the time, and the Devs know best, so they don't do "research" nor "Surveys"
Instead ... they do "Collector's Cache Voting" ... like for real? lol
The input lag I see mentioned in some places could be some graphic configuration like vsync, dunno. For me it is working fine.
About hero changes, I mostly don´t like them because its reinventing the wheel over and over, meaning there will always be winners and losers. I´d rather keep stable heros which would be balanced.
I remember when facets came in and Axe was a beast with the armor stacking, it was nerfed to the ground and the hero was not played so much. The same will happen this time.
