Anything can work in Dota.

It's probably slightly underrated, not because of Omnipresent, because Hammer of Purity was nerfed but people are still doing the right-click build. That still doesn't make it good.

Test it out in demo mode, spawn two dummies far apart, use Omni and another hero with Radiance and compare the DPS. With base 25% magic resist it should come up to ~54 dps vs ~45 dps. So a maximum of +9 dps assuming you stick to the target and constantly apply full 20 stacks of Omnipresent. Not a meaningful difference past 10 minutes.
