they have a mode called new player mode if you stay there you should be okay

just played with 4 idiot or just new players, sadly my other team had smurfs(low lvl accounts) and the matchmaking balance didn't work this time... game is hard so I suggest to play non ranked for at least a year otherwise youll hate this game, people will insult you nonstop

hard to learn and even harder to master.

Not sure what mobas you have played, if any. But this one is pretty unforgiving.

Depends on what type of person you are.

99.9999% of new dota players dont give a single ♥♥♥♥ about getting better or learning the game or doing fundamentals.

If you want to learn this game it will be difficult. You will SUCK for at minimum 4 years.

If you dont actively try to get better.. you wont. If you dont actively try to learn the ENTIRE GAME meaning EVERY item and EVERY hero, youll always suck.

If you dont actively try to learn the CHANGES to the game, youll always suck and always feed and always get yelled at.

Honestly this game is trash. The game itself is nice but the community is hot garbage. Mostly because of new players who are basically hard stuck on 90 IQ, barely meeting the criteria for consciousness.

did i lie to him ? i told him the truth myself if you are new 8 out of 10 games will contain a smurf if you are lucky the smurf will be in your team other than that good luck

exactly himself, you just said it kid then why would you say something he didnt ask and then confirming he should find out by himself? as I said... hopefully one day you will be enough for yourself so you stop calling out for attention this bad

Unfortunately what that guy above is saying about smurfs destroying you for most of your games is extremely accurate.

And that doesn't mean that absolute gods are coming down and smiting peasants.

They're usually very average players, but this game is designed in a way where you poor souls just trying to figure out what you're even looking at are going to be dramatically outpaced by the "normal" player who picked (noob-stomping cheese character goes here).

TLDR: The game is hard to learn and smurfs will make it insanely difficult for you to learn naturally. If you want to learn the game, you will need to do a lot more than just play it.
