How to reassign level-up keys?

I'd like to switch my level-up keys (default Control) with the auto-cast ones (Alt) since I use auto-cast more. Currently you can't change level-up keys in the settings, but in other Valve titles one could always change keybindings through console commands (bind <key> +function), is there anything similar in Dota 2?

You're talking about the Ability Learn and Upgrade Stats button, it's a different thing. Np though.

I've tried some console combinations but it's probably something complex like "bind alt+Q +level-up-Q" so I really have no idea how to do it.

I can rebind the auto-cast keys in the settings, the problem is the level-up skills (when you press control + skill button to level it up), which are bound to control by default and cannot be changed. It has to be done through console commands and I've no idea which command to use.

Also check the Dota 2 wiki for consol commands. If you can figure out what the consol command is for what you want to do you can just do something like this:

bind (BUTTON) (COMMAND)

Thanks mate, there's quite a big list there and I could not yet find a section that shows all the keys that can be bound, but I did try the key_findbinding and key_listboundkeys commands and they only display my control group keys for the Control button while the level-up ones are omitted. Maybe the level up keys are not listed in the game and therefore cannot be modified.
