The cool down is not really the issue as it is used mostly to go in on unexpecting enemys, a time when you don't really should have taken any damage to begin with
Blink players can blink away whenever they please, avoiding the fight until it's favorable. Or they blink in unleashing their strongest spells onto you without you being able to counteract. So the decisionmaking is completely taken away from one team and given to the other. It feels like this item makes the game dumb, destroys it's identity and the identity of heroes. With dumb I mean it's not fun to play.
Well, that's my opinion. I'm gonna go play something else for a while. I would love to see how Dota without blink would play out.
Also I noticed that as soon as the enemies have blink, you can't really move on the map anymore because if you do they gonna drop everything they're doing and blink in from outside your vision range.
Did you even bother to look at every single dota 2 items????
Do you even know what items are needed to get overwhelming blink?????

1) blink dagger
2) reaver (+25 strength)
and
3) overwhelming blink recipe

I am very much aware of the costs of blink and the 3 upgraded variants, but they are not even the issue here.
Also most items for hero abilities exist in the game. Meurtas ult is revenant brooch, am's mana burn in diffusal. Even maelstrom is zues shard now.

Every team has a joint stock of items which contains each item but only up to a certain number. In addition to this shared stock we would have shared gold resources where gold is split up into a private and a team gold part. Team gold can be expended by all players buying from the team stock. Private gold can only be used by the individual players to buy from the same joint team stock. This is more realistic about limited resources in war times and it is a challenge for team coordination and communication.
