Dota Plus = Pay to have fun.
I will set some personal points after playing for a few months with and without subscription. It does not happen on 100% of games, but most of them to notice a pattern.

Quite some time it took me to realize the big gap created by the new dota subscription, it allows you to check the skill balance, moreover, it allows you to skip that game without time penalty. So far, yes, it all makes sense, if I have the means to have a boost I would take it without hesitation, but it doesn't end there.

The Chance to be high class.

The game doesn't just give you tools, for that convenient monthly price it puts you on a plinth that set you apart from the commoners and lets you choose who is fit to be your victim, you skip and skip until you find the right match where the skill gap between your team and the other team is wide.

At that point the match is not a balanced fight but a shooting range where the premium player shoots a group of chained tigers. But of course you are not going to get tigers for that low price so they will be stripe painted donkeys.

I'll be the painted donkey.

This is where the unsubscribed players come in, we will play as the donkey, not just picked by skill but by location and behavior. At that point you enter a colorful and nurturing selection called "the others", where you will be shuffled in:

-The pro players which spend 16 hours playing, the only sun they see is the weather icon on their phone.
-The strict "metas”, they throw the game if you attack a creep on their line.
-The average ones where they are experts at playing their favorite heroes. They just want to play and maybe win.
And finally “That” people, the cause of the existence of the gap, the players who think they are pros because they spend the same hours playing and simultaneously meta because they just watched videos on YouTube, that group lacking of empathy and self-centered... you know how they are called.

The colorful selection, turned into a plain gray-brown

The issue, when get all those cherry-picked players in the same team, each one pulls towards their own direction, you'll get lag because the game gonna set closer to the suscribed player, you all will get frustrated and none will get progress, so they end up splitting up and being an easier target, divide and conquer, a reason to pick you for behavior.

And why do they choose you for behavior and not just for ability? Because they need to create a chance to lose against the subscribed player, no matter how good a player you are, the game is focused on being cooperative, so no matter how skilled you are, if you can't cooperate, you're not going to win.

It doesn't matter if you are a professional player, it doesn't matter if you just purchased the expensive skins, it doesn't matter if you are goodness incarnate, it doesn't matter if you come with three guild members who you never talk to, but sometimes got a good streak. If you or anyone in your team doesn't have a subscription, you'll be the painted donkey.
Being with so many people and you don't know how to cooperate with, at that point, reports start to skyrocket.

"Community" reports

Of course, instead of reflecting on their mistakes, it's easier to blame others, so the one who feeds reports, the party of 4 that failed to coordinate despite coming together will always report the fifth who can't read their minds, the "solo queue" will report at each other and so on until everyone ended up with a low performance rating.

The moment they allowed all players to be judge and executioner it just got worse, when they let them choose who did right and wrong in overwatch cases. There are flaws in democracy and letting anyone to have power is one of them; it's kind of ironic that it restricts you from being a coach, but there is no minimum behavioral score to punish other players, feeding the crab mentality paradox "if I'm stuck so are you" so the toxic player opens the overwatch case and declares that report as true, flattening the nurturing and colorful community, slowly becoming a uniform shape and color.

And so, everyone will accept the match with the same negative idea to stop cooperating as soon as someone fails, isolating the unsubscribed user from having fun.

At this point I imagine the incel unsheathing his katana saying "Leave this multimillion-dollar company alone" arguing that it is a tool made for a balanced match.

Would you say that you’ll use this tool to get the opportunity to get challenge?

Hah, no!

You come to win, we all come to win, but if you have the power to pick victories, it is clear that you will not pick the challenge, you will always choose to win, of course you paid to be able to see when you can win. You work 10 hours, your boss yells at you, your payment is unfair and Matthew keeps stealing your lunch. Of course you're not going to pay just to up your accumulated stress, you are here to have fun, you paid to have fun...

…And you don't care if others don't.
