Mid Tier : Puck, Treant, Invoker, Omniknight, Undying, Kunkka, Disruptor etc.
Low Tier : Shadow Fiend, Gyrocopter, Void, OD, Naga, Medusa etc.
To be in the Top Tier, the hero must have a large AOE vacuum / disable that prevents casting/attacking
To be in the Mid Tier, the hero must be able to restrict movement in a large AOE. The exception is Omniknight, whose ulti can make your team practically invincible for the duration.
To be in the Low Tier, the hero must have a large AOE nuke or a weak large AOE disable.
I see these two equally popular in the pro scene......
