Best Sniper build - What do you think of this?

I have been playing sniper for a long time and I have watched most(though they are few) of recent sniper games in professional dota.

I think that if Sniper can afford the farm, he should go for these items:

1) Midas 2) Boots 3) Skadi(I get it at maximum 25 min mark) 4) Crystallus 5) Dominator 6) Upgrade to Daedalus 6) Upgrade to Satanic 7) MKB 8) Butterfly.

In case I see that opponent has Bat Rider, Spirit Breaker or something similar, I will rush Linken first and in the end it will serve as replacement for Butterfly. Going Rapier instead of Butterfly is good if you are confident. :D

Desolator is wrong pick because sniper is squishy and you need lifesteal together with health. With Skadi and Satanic you can safely stay in middle of fight and kill everyone. MoM is also risky, but better than desolator if you have Skadi as well. But I prefer Satanic in the end. Skadi is good first pick because your main damage is from ultimate(which needs mana) at this point.

With this build Good Luck killing 2500+ hp sniper with a satanic. :D

Anyone objections to this? What are possible downsides to this?

Yes I think that Sniper against Balanar would be trouble. But in that case I will not go mid but I will lane. If i see balanar ganking, I just TP. You have to adjust and play ultrasafe, it is not that hard.

void is a mini stun, so if i see someone using a tp to get away i use my void on them, which cancels the tp

There is no perfect build and the items you have expectations to acquire each game are too high. You'll more than likely be farming for far too long and throw the game assuming the enemy team isn't terrible. For Sniper it doesn't really matter how much health you have if they lock you down chances are you're dead. You don't even have a BKB mentioned or any other non luxury item.

To keep it simple the items you expect to get are pretty terrible. Mostly because of your expectations on when to get them and why. Either way expect yourself to be yelled at for being dead weight if you try and farm that much in any game without getting involved in fights.

When I play Sniper, I'll usually look at enemy composition first and only decide the item build. For example, If enemy has burst damage nukers like Lion, Lina don't go for MoM, avoid Lothar(Shadow blade) if they pick Bounty Hunter, gap closers like PotM(Mirana) and QoP go for Threads instead of Phase Boots and max Headshot ASAP. Also Linken is a crappy items as they can use other abilities or items to trigger Linken and followed by the intended skills. eg: cast Earth spike to trigger spell block and followed by Hex and/or Finger when playing Lion. And also Otherguyib and sly_squash are right. When playing Sniper, you should always rush MoM or Lothar ASAP(you can buy normal boots first and upgrade it as soon as you get your MoM or Lothar. I can say Skadi is a good item for Sniper, but as late game item. But the most important thing when playing Sniper is positioning as he is an easy target to gank in early game especially when he's out of postion. By the way I don't really pick Sniper that much especially enemy has strong ganker like QoP, Spirit Breaker aka space cow, Lina, Ogre Magi.

i think everyone needs to remember this is for probably low-medium skill pug games where no one counter picks properly or would rather counter pick say pudge or invoker and ignore the sniper 'thinknig' hes jsut a noob hero but in the hands o a veteran sniper player can be quiet effective until you get to sub-pro games (3k MMR+)

First, I'm not convinced a build qualifies as "good" if it only works against poor opponents.
Second, if we presume the build is intended for low MMR games, then it should be obvious that incorporating a shadow blade into the build would make him effectively invincible and be great for initiation since few ppl in the lower MMR's use sentries/dust.

It's not a "good" build anywhere.

Jeez it's a sniper, he has no build.. few situation items yes, everything else is just dmg dealers

They got riki or slark = shadow blade
They got PA = mkb
They got Dazzle or some super armored tank = Desolator..

that's it.... if the gold is flowing non stop, there's no way to buy a wrong dmg item for him xD

really we need the OP to tell us what matchs he usually plays and what his MMR is, i play at 2.8k MMr and msot people buy wards/dust so unless hes below 2k and facerolling then he is a somewhat skilled sniper player.
i persoanlly have zero experience with sniper so cannot reccomend a build im just saying that everyone should automaticaly assume hes against high skilled/ranked players and is gunna get smashed.

Ok after reading some posts I will answer all of you at once.

1) I am 2.8k mmr, but that's not because I am that bad. I regularly team up with my friend who is 3.5k mmr and we are doing just fine. I sometimes play carry and win the game. I am sure I am at around 3.2k mmr. At least on some heroes. I am expert(3.2k mmr) at Sniper, Doom and some other heroes.
2) Shadow Blade is a stupid item unless you are playing against noobs who never buy dusts. I always buy dust, even if I am a carry.
3) Last 3 months, I never had a bad game on a sniper. Even if the enemy team has pubstomp lineup and is crushing us, I always end up with least deaths and most GPM(even more than enemy team's farmed carries) --- on a Sniper. And that's from Midas, good positioning and Assasinate spamming.

There was only once I could not win a game where I reached late-game while being farmed. We had no sentry ward and Troll Warlord was focusing me while approaching with shadow blade. :( This was 2 months ago and that game taught me a lot. :(
