Just by checking for a while on the internet, lots of people mention how the sniper is way too overpowered... and I think they are right.

I played today and it was just ridiculous... I don't know if that guy was cheating (because we were all at level 10 max while he was at lever 22), two shots and anyone who got on his way gets killed, being able to destroy towers from very far away and quite rapidily... etc etc etc.

He's actually pretty worthless, all you need to do is to burst him down and that's easy as hell since he's so squishy. I suggest you don't have wild theories about what's OP and what's UP until you've played more so that you can better grasp how the game works.

I think they are wrong. Sniper is a glass cannon-High damage but useless if you get in close and damage them hard. Learn how to play Nyx Assassin- the Ultimate hardcounter to glass cannons. If he targets you, spiked caracapice. if he doesn't, go invis, sneak up on him, stun him, and rip him to shreads.

Only benefit to Sniper IS damage. He is frail and has no means of getting away. As the post above me suggests grab Nyx, Riki, Bounter Hunter or any hero that is capable of negating Shadow Blade (popular Sniper item) and eat him all game. Easy as pie.

BKB has always blocked Sniper's ultimate. Why would it not?

Hacking is probably next to non-existent in Dota 2. What benefit would players get from hacking in this game?

Just wanted to add, any ability that disjoints projectiles (Mirana's Leap, Blink, Invis, etc.) forces Assassinate to miss.

Sniper is a dmg builder, so it's takes nothing to kill him, just need the right hero that's all

You're kidding, right? The same benefit cheaters get in any other competitive game: the ability to pretend they're better than they actually are.
But yeah, from my understanding all the calculations are done server-side so it isn't possible to use hacks unless you decide to create a private lobby.
