Putting in voting system in dota 2 to actually call GG in game.
Ok. This is my first post in this so bare with me guys.
Like the title says. I firmly believe that Valve needs to put in a voting system in dota 2 to allow people in game to actually descide to call GG and end the game short. I am positive we have all been in the situation that we are loosing because some a**hole guy on our team feeds the enemy team and it ends up being one sided, which some of the time is made worse when the enemy tem deliberatley extend the game by farming just to make it worse for everyone. Or if a guy is deliberately abusing his teammates with his abilities or spamming on mic or chat.

So how the system works is one guy calls a vote and the team votes yes or no. If the magority of players or maybe a fixed 4/5 of them say yes. The GG will be called and the game ends. With item drops still in play so that people dont get mad that they got nothing. This is debatable but I do not know for sure. If the guys in all the DOTA 2 tournaments can actually call gg and end early, why cant we?

So what do you guys think. Would this be a good feature to add to the game or no?

Do any of you guys have lives? I mean wtf I can't have a life outside of dota 2. If your losing a game and you know you can't win and you got to be somewhere else I'm gonna call a gg. For now it's gain a little exp. but let the enemy team wipe out ancient.

Plus, the rules of dota have changed since they put up team ranked match making. It's a complete different standard to play. So it would have different set of rules. Like have gg function in team ranked match making. In team ranked match making u dont want to loss or your ranking will go down. So you can assume almost everyone in team ranked match making will call a gg right before their anceint falls. Saving people a minute of watching their ancient go down and giving sweet satisfaction to the winning team.
Every other game mode can be argued about since peolpe don't realise that they may not have beginning game but end game, because a few mistakes can turn a game around.
Which brings me back to my main point that Balalaika miss understood. I don't ever quit games but there are many people who do what I pointed out earlier. It's something that happens alot and no one knows how to fix it.

5 out of 5 surrender would work fine. People already give up if they think the game is lost, with surrender you will just be able to end a stomp 10-20 minutes sooner so you can enjoy a real match.

When I know I've got something else coming up later, I would play some other games so I won't drag 9 more people with me.

If you've got something better to do then don't queue for a game in the first place, if you're up for a game then there's no reason for you to not stick to it until the end. And just because you're in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ situation doesn't mean that the other side is not having fun. If you want an easy way out because things get tough or doesn't go your way then I can only say that you came to the wrong neighborhood sweetheart.

The sad reality of what a surrender button does kinda gets overlooked. That is, players will start voting to surrender because they are personally not doing well. Many players don't really comprehend that certain team comps are gonna suck for the first half, but pull ahead towards the late game if they can hang in there.

Or in short, you're gonna get lots of newbs surrendering in games you'll win because they personally aren't having a great game.

Please copy paste this to every single "omg we need gg butt0nz" threads.

It was discussed before and to all those on about "oh but everyone would just surrender. The following stipulations were constructed for the hypercritical surrender button.

1) requires majority decision or 1 vote with only 2 people left
2) you cannot surrender until 15 minutes into the game, the option is locked till then.
3) Surrender only unlocks after 15 minutes and if there is a kill difference of 30 or a tower difference of 4 which must be T1 or T2 towers T3 don't count.
4) Once a single Racks is down surrender will only then unlock on kill difference.
5) The first Racks that goes down then changes surrender to require 40 kills and the second of the pair taking it to 50 kills
6)Each single Racks after that adds 5 kills required
Icefrog/Valve had already made it clear they don't intend to add a baby button, do some research before, dont waste your breath. It'd be wonderful if a mod would simply make a pinned thread stating this.

But they have added one in pro-league matches so well done insulting every pro DOTA 2 player dude.

It's entirely possible for Valve to change their mind and actually add the feature to public matches.
I've played HoN for years and prefer many of it's features to Dota's. The concede function is not one of them.

In Dota, when a team is behind they defend their last remaining rax. They'll throw their lives away in a blind hope that they'll throw off a push for another couple minutes. I see the exact opposite in HoN, where players just play half-assed after anything demotivates them.

Did someone on our team give first blood? Someone gank your lane after dying? Call out gg and ask for a 'Remake' vote if it's before 6 minutes. Spam the concede vote after 15. Threaten to afk. I see this in Dota games, but not nearly as much.

The game isn't over until the throne is crushed. Players want to defend their base.

So it is your first post here, why didn't you read in here before? This discussion is old, and it should be clear that there will be no surrender, concede, quitting button in the near future.
In Dota-tournaments it is possible, because the play lobby games. You should have known that before writing in here the same old stuff.
And you can surrender a game, if its a.) a lobby game or b.) just leave your match but deal with the sentence after your abandonment.

I found an exact same problem with LoL, players gave up too easily and play half-heartedly thinking they will get a quick ticket out, and when their team refused to surrender they start throwing tantrum. After I got close to 1k win almost 90% of the game ended with surrender.

no no no, you want to leave, take the penalty, otherwise play thru

If one player think it s lost and thus not worth fighting, decides to just jungle and let it go, it s lost regardless so even if you "play through" you re just delaying the loss

I stand correct on what I say. Yeah, pro players can call it quits in a tournament. Do you even understand what would happen if they allowed that same feature to be passed down to the 99%? Or do you like countless others overlook it? Many dota players don't know what a comeback is, if they added a baby button, no one will.
I definitely agree with the "smite"s surrender system. It's perfect... No need to waste ton of time if there is literally no way to win a game
