Can I have Steam save my hotkeys for each individual hero?
Is there a way steam can remember my settings for each individual hero? I dont play with the standard qwer. I know its wierd but i mainly play with werd, except that I change those for each hero depending on what the ability does. I also change my hotkeys for people who have more than 4 spells. I have to change them at the start of almost every single game. Is there a way steam can remember my settings for each individual hero?

the best you can do is to get used to every hero being werd or qwer. Dota 1 players had to get used to qwer after many years of very different skill keys for each hero. Your way is time consuming and you can easily make more mistakes with yours. I advice to just get used to 1 set of keys. Idk its possible through using an autoconfig file or dota 2 and you might be able type out each heroes name and skill 1, skill 2 etc. The only reason I think its possible is because there are things you can put into the file like for pudge for example to use skill(4) Dismember right after skill(1) Hook. Or as Huskar to turn on item slot for whatever armlet or satanic is, turn on burning spears, turn on heal, and then youll only have to hit one key for all of that to happen, a chain reaction of sorts. But as of now I havent seen anyone do this yet. Maybe you can try and tell us how to when you're done.

No, but if you take the time you can make a macro to change your keys using alias's in the console.

Well, you could use an autoexec.cfg with aliases and scripts to set the bindings at the beginning of a game (I use those in offline mode to start botgames). However, since you can do more with scripts than simply rearrange your bindings, I am not sure what consequences that would have (in terms of the VAC - Valve Anti Cheat System).

If someone else uses scripts to rearrange their bindings, maybe they can let you know :)

Any scripts are a-ok going past vac, vac is for external programms editing the game data, scripting is something anyone can do and valve are actively removign commands they feel make the game unfair.

Back on topic, you can also edit the keys used for each heroes legacy keys, but its a mess and will be time consuming, navigate to steam/userdata/<youruseridnumber>/570/remote/cfg and open dotakeys in notepad, you will have to bind every ability manually and it will only work for binging abilities.

OK then. OP can just google alias, bind and autoexec.cfg and write scripts to rearrange the bindings for each hero. It's just 100+ different scripts, shouldn't take more than 1-2 hours right :P

//Rubick Bindings
alias "rubickbindings" "rubick0;rubick1;rubick2;rubick3;rubick4;rubick5;echo Rubick Bindings Loaded"
alias "rubick0" "bind q dota_ability_execute 0" // Main Ability 1
alias "rubick1" "bind w dota_ability_execute 1" // Main Ability 2
alias "rubick2" "bind e dota_ability_execute 2" // Main Ability 3
alias "rubick5" "bind r dota_ability_execute 5" // Main Ability Ultimate
alias "rubick3" "bind t dota_ability_execute 3" // Secondary Ability 1
alias "rubick4" "bind z dota_ability_execute 4" // Secondary Ability 2
