Dota 2
/Surrender command
When atleast 4 members of your team has voted to surrender the throne will automatically explode. Just like in those professional tournaments where the guys say "GG" and the throne collapses. It would be really nice to have a feature like this when the enemy team refuses to destroy your throne and instead gets hundreds of kills. Like seriously why don't we have a feature like this in dota? LoL has this. Why can't we?

I totally agree. Surrender is very much needed.

If you want to ruin this game even more, then yes.. but god no. There are enough reasons why its not in dota2 .. and even when people think of "fair" surrender mechanics i can think of 50 ways people can abuse it
There is already surrender. Its called abandon.

May as well take the extra 2 minutes in low priority then spending another 30 minutes waiting for the other team to finish it.

I really don't see the harm in a forfeit/surrender option. If everyone on the team opts for surrender and it ends smooth and easy without anyone getting abandon.... Sometimes you just get a team that is tragically bad - be it the heros you picked or the players playing them, or both.

However, in most these situations someone is likely to quit anyway so you can leave free and clear after that. :P

While i agree it would be abused to the point of ruining the game, I can also sympathize with the idea of people abusing the absense of one as well. When you have a team playing unfairly against you and bullying you IF you did nothing to deserve it, and have no way out but to abandon. People spawn camp because they know the other team can do nothing about it. And purposely let matches drag on never allowing them to leave their fountain forcing them to endure a miserable time they didnt rightfully deserve. Not EVERYONE is a whining little kid that can't take a beating. There are some level headed and credible players in dota that have superior judgement, I believe.
Dawngate (A diffrent MOBa game) has a kinda intressting surrender system. The game will notice when the other team has a huge lead of the other team. It checks towers down and kill ratio. So lets say the team has 40-5 and gotten 5 towers down. It will prompt a surrender option in.

Could this be viable?

Obs you never done a 40 minute turtle and win. Surrender is terrible. Its like going jungle and only get centaurs, would you surrender just cause of that?

well, if it required all 5 to vote yes, then i don't really see the harm in it. Otherwise no. Also the vote should be anonymous.
