1. Vengeful Spirit (lost her throne and wings).
2. Clinkz (became immortal with his flesh melted off).
3. Juggernaut (the last of his kind).

Shendel's and Clinkz's are truly one of the saddest lores in the game. i actually think nothing beats those two when it comes to saddest.
but close seconds are (sorted based on roster):
1. Huskar (was about to die, to be accepted amongts his gods, but Dazzle revived him)
2. Tresdin (doomed hometown, lost way too many of her soldiers even though they "won")
3. N'aix (what he is now is terrifying, but before he was your average Oglodi. whatever happened to him must've been traumatizing.)
4. Magnus (lost his Matriach, most of his people, and home when Mt. Joerlak erupted. he now seeks vengeance to those who blew it up.)
5. Riki (last surviving member of a royal family.)
6. Krobelus (wanting to experience death so much, she was denied this so many times. now she's stuck in a form between life and death.)

[Dragonfruit]

1. Undying, who is literally forced back to life constantly to the point of madness.
2. Broodmother, who had to watch a good number (A.K.A. most) of her children murdered, most right in front of her face, including her newborns.
3. Phantom lancer, who is utterly alone, and yet surronded by his own grief.

Purist was questioning his elders regarding his religion. so they took him underground to see the Omniscience. then he came back with renewed faith.

I would say, Undying.. pretty much a puppet. A madness end of his past life only to make his undead life a nightmare to what he was.. Little confusing xD
