2mb connection

Any higher 256kbps constant connection rates.
Lower will lag and delay or just playable. If not you'll get the awesome "Receiving uncompress update from server".

Online games run fine on about any connection, the only things that really matters is if it's stable or not, and what your ping is to the server.
I know this is an old post but it appeared high on a google search so I thought I would help out a bit.

There is not a clear answer to the connection speed needed. One must look at the computers power (CPU,GPU,RAM, RAM speed, Wired or WiFi)

2Mbps does seem to be the common answer. If you are on WiFi and are having issues look into setting a static brodcast channel for your router. Google "[router name] [broadcast channel] "

If your network is configured correctly try lowering the graphics settings.

IF YOU ARE PLAYING ON A LAPTOP - buy a desktop =P but srsly the laptop will get hot fast! to correct this get a USB cooling pad (again google will give you a ♥♥♥♥ ton to chose from) Or if you are super broke use 4 bottle caps (one on each corner) to provide more airflow for the laptop.

Ill subscribe to this and try to help anyone that reply's, its a slower day a t work =)

based on ur country internet service. if malaysia is TOTALLYYYY SUCKSSS!!! EVEN USING 10MBPS STILL LAGGY OR DC. Then u will get low priority..... MALAYSIA BOLEH!!! cheers!
Again this will depend on your connection. If you have a your own IP from your ISP, that is to say your demark from you network never changes, then you will be fine with 10Mbps (Mbps = Mega bits per second - 10MBsp = 10 Mega Bytes per second) If you have a 10Mbps connection and you are unable to play this game you must have a shared connection. Others are on your 10MBps pipe and causing slowness for you, OR you have others in your network playing games // downloading// anything really.

That is because your connection to the server could be unstable.

One other thing that I curently am faced with is the wiring within your home/apartment/anything. My current apartment has old OLD coxal if it can even be called that.. The cable tech said he hasnt seen it in 10 years, not the type we are all use to seeing connecting to the modem. Anyhoo it causes random drops and speed issues.
