How to text chat during dota 2?
I'm new to the game and I don't know how to use text chat during the game. I tried using y but instead got a command chat which I didnt want. My teammates got mad at me because I do not know how to commuicate in the game, it was during a bot match. Can somebody please tell me how to use the text chat? I don't want to deal with the same problem again.

It's shift to talk to your teamates, and for everyone is shift+enter.

Press the Enter key for team chat, and if you want to type in all chat you press Shift+Enter.
