Hero character/abilities/role/backstory creation thread
It would be likely that Valve and Icefrog will create new heroes when the originals come back. Until then, let us create our own to satisfy our wait until that time.

Basicaly, you can create a new hero's backstory, abilites or an entire hero. Like this one:

War
Dire Strength
Melee
Lore of War:
Being one of the four horsemen of half demons, he was the one who had the most pride. He enjoyed the development of the culture over at the isle of masks. However, during the great uprising against Demonicus and the isle of masks refusement, he decided to wage war on the masks for disgracing the bushido code. The isle was destroyed and he ruled that part of the world. He continued to wage war, looking for another chance to show his honour. He discovered a lone ronin, a survivour of the destruction of the isle. He has sided with the Dire for one chance to show his true strength

ABILITIES:
Greater Slash (No Target)
Will charge at a great speed so many units in the direction he is facing, dealing damage to all units he hits.
Damage: 100/150/200/250
Distance: 800/850/900/950
Mana: 175
Cooldown: 20
The key to winning war is to use greater blows to the enemy

Proof of honour (passive)
Every time War kills an enemy unit, he gains a stack of of honour. Each stack increases movement speed and attack damage. Creeps gives 0.5 stacks and heroes 5. War keeps the stacks until he dies.
Movement increase (Per stack): 1/3/5/7
Damage (Per stack): 2/4/6/8
Max stacks: 5/10/15/20
You must show your honour!

The honourable army (No target)
War summons two units under his control. One is ranged and one is melee. Each do damage based on a percentage of his strength and agility. (Ranged has the agility and the melee has strength)
Percentage of stats into damage: 40%/50%/60%/70%
Unit health: 100/200/300/400
Mana: 100/105/110/115
Cooldown: 30
Best thing about war is the opposing armies

[ult] CURSE OF WAR
Curses a target with thirst of war. The hero is silenced and is dealt massive damage if he does not kill a hero before the curse ends
Damage (Based on enemy health): 25%/50%/75%
Duration: 15
Mana: 300
Cooldown: 120
The curse of war is that you have to keep killing over and over. The moment you stop, is the moment you die.

i guess my hero can be op but i feel like he's fair
cuz he's melee
much like lifestealer with a twist of ns and slark
My biggest problem is that it gives 4 seconds of immortality on the Q.
W doesn't have any upgrades it seems
E is a bit confusing
R is alright.

R is alright.

(Q)it's much like dazzle's ability.. He can still be stunned by abilites tho thats the downside.. so he's not immortality cuz he can still be dmg by pure dmg or be stunned till the duration is over. Puck ult works with this.

(W) ill change it later

(E) the 210 dmg you arn't gonna get healed by it but the 11% max hlth you are by 50%. say you have 1000 hlth, you are gonna be dealth 110 dmg, with 25% magic resitiance its only gonna be 82.5 halve that again and thats the number RoqGoth will heal...

(R) I tried my best

Thanks for clearing it up. Good hero. Although, it sounds kind of like a LoL hero I played once... (The name, not the abilities. I guess the personality as well)

I made up the name myself... And since most Dota names are not as average as today names are I tried to fiind something that would fit it. I play LoL too. What chammpion does this remind you of?

Also the whole figuring out Atk speed took forever. I had to go to dotawikipedia and find out BAT/(1+IAS) and everything lol

so i'm guessing Toleman is one of the prisoners that tried to escape from Dravernus' "help" right?

-snip-

not exactly, hmm. Perhaps I should go back and clean it up a bit not that I have a better idea where I was going with it.

The idea was that Toleman was someone Dravernus used as a pawn to plant one of his escape plans in the minds of some of the other prisioners, as a way to do it more anonomously. By doing it that way, Dravernus could not be tied to the attempted escapes as easily.

To be frank, writing it that way was mostly a way of cleaning up a writing mistake I had made with the escapees being taken in for questioning. If they were being interrogated one or more of them might have cracked and made it known that Dravernus was behind the attempted escapes.

If too many escape attempts were tied directly to Dravernus, the Valley guard might have ended their neutral stance in favor of killing/neutraulizing the ringleader. Also, if they knew that the high warden was aware of his efforts and not punishing him for them, that might have serious concequences for the group as well.

When Toleman returned, he was dangerous and useless, since he would distrust Dravernus because of the failure of his escape plan. Tolemen also was the one from his group who talked with Dravernus face-to-face, so he knew of the connection between Dravernus and the attempted escape. Even speechless, he posed a risk to the larger plan which was why I had him killed instead of re-using by Dravernus as a pawn again.

Braving the Man’s Grave

A ray of sunshine finally broke through the darkened grey sky, giving the land an odd mix of darkness and light. Echoes of thunder resounded itself from the edges of the valley, shaking the land through its divine tremors. The inmates in charge of the farmlands were especially thrilled at the sight of light, so were the hunters, finally having prey pop out of the darkness. As the High Warden had said; Go with the flow, and nothing bad will happen.

The High Warden herself was already busy even before the break of dawn, once again leaving the young succubus to wake up alone in her chambers. Under the rumpled blanket sheets, she woke up to find that she was without the clothes she slept in and a few scratch marks. The feeling of uncertainty that accompanied her in her slumber crept its way back up, and Fuella settled to remain within the warm blanket, fully content to be left on her own.

In her own solitude, she realized she was slowly coming to terms with the fact that she was someone’s pet, but still uncertain whether that’s a good thing or not. Through this, a knock came from the door, jostling her from her own, breaking her from her own thoughts, and thinking it might have been just like yesterday, she made a sound, hopefully as a sign to whoever it was that they could come in, and do whatever they intended.

Fuella preferred to stay within the blanket, not turning to see that Cravla again had entered the room, followed by the robed woman she met on the first day. As they moved to approach her, Fortuna sat at the edge of the bed, a hand put gently on Fuella’s form.

“Fuella?” Fortuna said, hoping to get a response from the young succubus. “Cravla’s here to heal you, and calm you down again.”

Fuella finally showed herself, lowering the blanket from her face to greet the two senior personnel of Jinah’s entourage. Even in the presence of two of the ‘safest’ people in the Fort, she still felt intimidated by them, especially of their connections with Jinah. Cravla then approached her, and put one hand on the side of her head with the other hand on her abdomen.

After a few minutes Fuella once again felt calm from his touch, the scars on have shrunken down in size, with most of them disappearing, almost as if they were actually healed. When he finished whatever he was doing, Fortuna helped Fuella up and get dressed as Cravla left the room.

“Jinah said that you didn’t get to eat anything yesterday.” Fortuna said just as Fuella was fully dressed. She grabbed her hand and lead Fuella out of the room. “We’re going to get you a nice breakfast. Jinah’s orders.” She said with a smile.

They moved through the corridors, passing by a few of the inmates, most even cowered from Fortuna’s presence. Fuella didn’t know if it was because of Fortuna’s position or her innate ability to see the future. It sure made it easy to move through the fort without any hindrances, and because of so they made it to the mess hall not long after. Fortuna waved to one of the cooks and brought them to an empty table.

“So, things have been going well I hope.” Fortuna said out of the blue, once again with that knowing smirk she had when they met.

“…No…” Fuella answered.

“Oh? And why is that, hm?” Fortuna responded. “Did Jinah do anything bad to you?”

“…Not, exactly.” Fuella replied, once again that swirling feeling of fear and some other emotion within her.

“Then things are going well.” Fortuna stated, followed by a chuckle. A tray of food appeared in front of both of them as another person joined the table. It was Lilly, the Fort’s chief cook, that had given Fuella her first meal.

“So, it must be heaven, being you right now.” Lilly chimed in as Fortuna dug in her meal. Fuella face Lilly with a look of bewilderment.

“How?” Fuella asked.

“Well, because most of us are lucky to even sleep in cots. You get to sleep in a bed! With warm company too!” Lilly said, a little too enthusiastic for Fuella’s liking. “Face it ‘pet’, what you’re going through is better than most people in this hell. Well, enjoy your breakfast!”

Lilly left the table and went back to her station, and Fuella, not feeling the need to talk, went on to eat her breakfast in quiet with Fortuna, who was half way finished with her own meal. While eating her meal, Fuella saw that a few of the inmates braved themselves and approached Fortuna, asking her about their fates. A handful of them would die in the hands of the Executioner, some in the hands of the guards. Fortuna even detailed their respective deaths, scaring them away, in order to be left alone on her own.

It wasn’t long until the both of them finished their meals, at which prompted Fortuna to grab Fuella’s hand again and drag her out of the mess hall. Fortuna once again asked her questions, but Fuella stayed passively quiet. Fortuna didn’t seem to mind, as she ended up talking to Fuella for her own good.

They found themselves outside again, this time only the Fort itself was covered by the grey clouds. Fortuna continued dragging Fuella around until they arrived at the executioner’s platform. Unlike yesterday however, there was no crowd as of that moment, with Alexander still digging holes and Karna just sitting at the edge of the platform.

“Stay here, alright?” Fortuna said as she put Fuella next to a passive Karna. She left immediately before Fuella could protest.

Fuella felt awkward sitting next to the Executioner, especially since she’s being even more passive then her. She was startled when she realized Karna was staring right at her, eyes still showed no signs of emotion. Fuella felt the need to break the ice, if possible at all.

“..Ho-How, are you?” she stammered out. “a-are, you… uh, okay?”

She wasn’t sure if she could get a response, but she continued to stare back at Karna, hoping for an answer – any answer – just so things didn’t feel too weird. Karna’s eyes softened, her eyes no longer showing the absence of a soul, and nodded at Fuella. Fuella smiled, and she realized that somehow she felt safe around Karna, despite her being one of the most dangerous people in the Fort, both in position and power.

“I see you two are getting along.”

Both women were startled and turned to face the source of that voice. Jinah stood in front of them, backed up by Dravernus himself. Jinah shook her gauntlet, making the ethereal line appear between her and Fuella.

“Come, pet. We’ll be taking a walk around the valley.” Jinah said, which prompted Fuella to stand up. Jinah then turned to face Karna. “You can come along, Karna. You’re not doing anything right now. You can also use the time to let loose.” She said with a caring smile on her face. It took a few seconds before Karna nodded and stood up.

The four of them walked together deeper into the valley, a change of atmosphere appeared; no longer is there a sense of dread as they moved into land that’s not covered by the grey sky. Fuella had to shade her eyes for being used to not having any sunlight. The change of environment was also refreshing, as they moved past the farmlands and deeper into the forests.

“What are we doing, Jinah?” Dravernus asked. Fuella turned to face him, shocked that he didn’t know what Jinah was doing.

“We’re just taking a little, ‘stroll’, Dravy.” Jinah responded, a hint of amusement was laced in her words. “Having you around would make us safer.”

“You don’t need anyone to make you feel safe.” He replied.

“Not really, no. But my pet sure would.” Jinah said while shaking the ethereal rope that bind them together.

“So you brought me along, just to protect her. Of course you did.” Dravernus said, closely exasperated but calmed himself down. He knew she was just playing him, and him getting angry would benefit no one, especially himself.

Fuella herself was surprised how compliant this big lizard man was. She thought that maybe he liked authority, and being part of it. She looked at the High Warden, for the first time allowing herself to be amazed at the power Jinah has. She’s heard stories before, when she still lived among her kin, but after she was sent here, she didn’t think that Jinah was capable of doing it all over again. She didn’t realize she was staring intently until she noticed that Jinah was staring back, that familiar smirk on her again.

“Something on your mind, my pet?” Jinah asked her, teasingly.

Fuella just shook her head, embarrassed at what just happened. She finally realized what that other emotion she’s been feeling for the past few days; she was infatuated. She didn’t believe it was possible, but it happened, mixed along with the fear she’s always had, creating that familiar feeling on uncertainty.

“Halt!” she heard someone say, and was confused that there was someone trying to order them around. When she saw one of the heavily armed Valley Guards on their horses, she didn’t know if it was a good thing.

“Surprised to see you here, High Warden.” One of the Valley Guards said, flanked by his men. She assumed he was one of the higher ranking guards.

“Just taking my pet out for a walk, Lieutenant.” She replied matter of factly.

When the Lieutenant’s gaze fell on her, Fuella moved to hide behind Jinah, seeking some sort of protection. She felt safer when Dravernus’ hand went to her shoulder.

“Can you even keep pets alive?” the Lieutenant asked, hoping to spite the High Warden. If he knew better, he’d know it was close to impossible, especially where he’s standing.

“I might break my toys, Lieutenant.” Jinah said, as she approached him and put a pointed finger on his armor. “but I always care about my pets.” She moved back to the group, taking her place in the middle. “Especially when she’s a gift from my dear sister.” Jinah said, a hand caressing Fuella’s cheek, leaving a few marks from the sharp gauntlets.

“Is there anything you guards want?” Dravernus bellowed, reminding the Valley Guards of his intimidating presence.

“We were only patrolling the valley, Head Guard. Don’t worry, we’re not stealing your job.” The Lieutenant said condescendingly.

This time it was Fuella who reassured him by grabbing his hand, calming him down. She didn’t want any sort of bloodbath to happen between the two powers of authority within the valley, especially with her in the middle of it.

“Then why don’t we go our separate ways.” Jinah said. She too was not in the mood for unneeded conflict, especially with the Valley Guards.

“That is a good suggestion ma’am.” One of the lower ranking guards said, chiming in to the situation. He received a glare from the Lieutenant, but he was defiant, Fuella could see that a fight would end badly. The Lieutenant turned to face them again.

“Very well.” The Lieutenant turned to face his men. “Move out!” he ordered them, with his horse taking the lead.

With any sort of conflict dealt with with words, they continued on, moving deeper into the forest until they came across a clearing of pasture, filled with cattle grazing on the fields. Fuella was in awe of her surroundings, completely out of reality. She was jostled out of her serenity when she heard Dravernus cried out, screaming in rage.

“I need to kill something!” he said as he approached the now fleeing cattle.

“It’s okay Dravy, I’m sure Karna wouldn’t mind you execute some of the inmates.” Jinah said to him, already seated herself on the ground. Karna nodded in agreement. Fuella had moved back to sit beside Jinah, in hopes of some sort of protection if Dravernus let himself loose.

As he turned to face them, a roar came from the skies which caught their attentions. All four of them saw a blue creature, almost the same color of the sky, albeit a bit darker. They then saw that the creature is moving to the ground, with speed that made all of them back away, except for Dravernus.

The ground shook for more that it should’ve lasted, Dravernus himself shaking from the tremor. Jinah noticed that he was about to charge at the dragon, and motioned Karna to stop him. As Karna’s whips connected to Dravernus’ feet, he fell face first just as he made to move.

“What are you doing!?” he asked them, angered at what had transpired.

“Don’t make a fool of yourself Dravernus!” Jinah said with a tone of authority. “I doubt even you could take on a dragon!”

“Shows what you----“

Through the argument, Fuella saw that the Azure Dragon started glowing, as if it was transforming. She moved to Jinah’s side, grabbing her attention and pointing to what’s happening. As all four sets of eyes gazed the scene, they saw a feminine figure taking the place of the great dragon. The figure then approached them, Karna still restraining Dravernus.

“Excuse me,” the dragon said to the group. “do you know where the Kingdom of Elze is?”

Fuella was dumbstruck; a blue dragon had appeared from the skies a landed in the valley, then transformed into a woman. She was even more surprised when she saw that Jinah was still composed, barely reacting to it.

“The Kingdom of Elze is far north from here. Probably a whole week or two with your flying.” Jinah answered, keeping a professional tone in front of their ‘guest’. “Although from what I heard, the Kingdom’s in disarray after something happened with their king.”

“Yeah, thanks to one of your people.” The dragon said offhandedly, but without any malice. She turned to face the still grounded Dravernus, and crouched down. “Rage will cloud your judgment.” She said as she put her clawed hand on his back.

Dravernus then lashed out, getting out of the restraints, aiming to strike the dragon. The dragon herself merely grabbed the hand he used to strike her and took him with her as she flew higher. The dragon then transformed into her more terrifying form and dropped again from the sky, still with Dravernus in her claws.

Dravernus was unharmed however, as the claws merely braced him from the impact of the fall. As the dragon transformed herself again, the other three approached them.

“Never strike a dragon head on,” she said, disapprovingly, “especially if you had no sort of advantage.” She straightened herself as Dravernus tried to get up, and turned to face Jinah again. “Can I have one of the cows?”

“Sure” Jinah replied.

“And thanks for the directions!” the dragon said before transforming again and grabbing one of the cattle with her feet.

With the dragon now far from their sights, Dravernus had calmed down considerably. The group then walked back to the Fort, in hopes of reaching it before dark. Dravernus had separated himself when they reached the Fort, going back to his station. Karna accompanied them back to Jinah’s chambers, and moved to the balcony as soon as they entered.

Jinah ordered Fuella to take the bed before her, and moved to stand beside Karna on the balcony. Fuella just moved inside the blankets, finding a comfortable position, all the while staring at the two people on the balcony. No words were exchanged between the two, yet there was a conversation going on between them, and the Executioner’s eyes let out a stream of tears all the while the rest of her body was still composed. Jinah gave Karna one last hug before Jinah wiped the tears so Karna could leave the room. Now with just the two of them in the room, Jinah moved to the bed.

“You know, it’s not polite to stare.” Jinah said, standing at the edge of the bed. Fuella tried to cover herself with the blankets, in hopes of some sort of protection. It didn’t work when Jinah merely pulled the blanket off of her. She pulled Fuella to the edge of the bed, gripping her neck but not as tight as it was on her first night. Once again, Fuella just closed her eyes, with what’s to come, but she realized that she’s not as opposed to it as she was before.

Yeah, they are. The bits about Dravernus were quite hilarious. Although, I want a little moment when one of the other prisoners gets angry at him and attacks him. The prisoner starts laughing as Dravernus just smirks and says: "C'mon, hit me again" then unleashes his power.

you can hope for that in the next part, i just wanted Jinah and Fuella (and some others, which so happened to be Karna and Dravernus) to take a tour around the sorrounding lands. the two moments he had a possibility of unleashing some rage were times that will not go in favor of him. (fighting the guards or my dragon)

Yes, I could see that if he lost his ♥♥♥♥ right there and then, it would end badly.
Howd you guys like for me to make a completely new area for a new challenge or make a challenge for the fort so we would each make an exceedingly dangerous individual, who is held in containment even while in the fort. (think of like Kaliand but with no restraint over his powers or no will to restrain his powers)

Theyd be held in a high security clearing in the edge of the valley, far from the fort and the gates and buried deep in the ground in cells so small that they can't move. The only way to keep them alive is through magic and thus it would have several powerful wizards mainaining the cells all the while it'd have the toughest of guards protecting them (im talking in the likes of take Maergrim or Dravernus head on guards). The only reson theyre not killed is because theyre too valuable as assets or that they'd release their energy when dying, obliterating quite a lot of ground.

This would provide an interesting extension to the valley story, where they would learn of these guys. ie. Fuella could be on a leisure walk alone or with someone else when she has gained the trust of Jinah and just happens to stumble on the place by accident. Then the Group at fort would try to break them free at all cost as long as they know who is stable or not. (propably in the likes of one of them manages to break out in the mayhem caused by the fort dwellers and frees the others.)
