Abandoned because of not able to reconnect back to game.

I was playing on 0:43:15, Feb 17th 2014 ranked match with a friend, OmegaXzerO. Our team was doing quite well, and suddenly the connection went down. Disconneting me and my friend (we live in a dorm). I thought may be it's our connection problem, restarted modem, relog in Steam and hoping to reconnect back. After a few tries, we still can't get back in the game even though our connection line is good. After many tries, we gave up and was disappointed.

Fine, may be Dota 2 SEA server having issues. That's what I thought. The next day we went back in Dota 2, my friend and I got abandoned status. We both could not get back in the game, and automatically got "accused" for abandoning the match. We felt bad for not able to get back into the game and unable to justify ourselves. We both get the same message after tying to reconnect the game: "Unable establish connection to the server". Later then I restart the game again and this time it's: "Connecting to Dota 2 network".

So I came here hoping an explanation from Valve because this kind of problem happened to us before. I can't expect everytime I play, everything going well and smooth, and all of a sudden I got kick out from a match and unable to join back in. That really got me mad and disappointed, players may think how irresponsible we are and possibly reported us. This really spoil our in-game experiences and the impression of this game.

I believe we aren't the only victims here, I sincerely hope Valve fix this problem asap. Thank you for your time.

The problem is I am not the only one experiencing it. If Valve unable to fix this issue then everytime I got abandoned for this, I get low priority all the time. I just stating out the problem here. Thank you.

The sad thing is when you actually reconnect, WIN the game and get an "abandon" penalty for it, which is exactly my case. LOL DoTA crashed and blocked my whole system (Linux, Steam client and DoTA both being extremely buggy on it), I waited like 2 minutes and a little bit more, then I restarted the game, reconnected, won it and today I just saw that I have 2 remaining games on the low prio queue for abandoning a game. I was surprised and decided to check my list with recent games and the shock came from this very game. I have no idea how long I was out but I think it was like 5 minutes in the game when I reconnected. Why allow people to reconnect if they already got an abandon for it?!

Today I've got this, and it will definitely count me the abandon, it's already not the first time & not the last one. Who can suggest me good lawyer, I want Valve to pay me for the waste of my time !!!!!!!!
