As a side note, Wand's really not as important as most guides like to make out. Most of the time it's Purge who thinks it's some kind of god-tier item on every single hero. You only really need it if your opponents have spammable spells or if you're playing a hero who's always in the middle of a fight and who needs that boost of HP and mana to get another spell off.
Thanks for the advice. Should I use magic stick instead of wand, and spend that money on something else?
I usually only go with Stick if someone's spamming spells in lane (since you can buy it from the side shop). I then upgrade to Wand if i started with a lot of branches and the courier isn't especially busy.
So if you started with 2-3 Iron Branches and have a Stick, it's usually worth just grabbing the cheap upgrade recipe so you can keep the bonus of having +3 to all stats and have an emergency heal at the same time.
If you're trying to rush an item, aren't seeing a lot of use from your Stick, or simply don't think you'll need it that much, don't force yourself to upgrade it.
But if you are facing someone who spams spells a lot like bristleback you should get it and probably even upgrade if you picked up some branches at start for bonus hp/damage.
