Mac Fullscreen Issue with 6.80 Patch
Apparently the client now uses the built-in fullscreen app function of Mac... but this is causing issues with pressing ESC or ctrl+#. It makes the game go into window mode, and the cursor is off so you can't click anything in game.

This is preventing me from playing... needs to fixed.

Well, I figured out, if you don't try to command-tab away from the client, pressing ESC won't do anything.

but the momenet you DO navigate away, it will start doing the window thing again.

this works for me. System pref -> Keyboard -> Shortcut(tabs) -> Mission Control (right tab) -> uncheck "Switch to Desktop 1" then, open dota 2 make full screen.
Other problems.... client now seems lagging unlike older client. tried to lower resolution, still lagging.
This works for the crtl+# problem. but prior to Esc button idk. update sucks. need fixing.

Recently on my MacBook Pro when I launched DOTA 2, the dock was showing and the menu bar, buttons were being cut-off and the game was hard to use. The issue seems to stem from how Steam sometimes launches the game client.

The fix is rather simple and worked for me.

Open up the Steam client
Click the Library tab
Right click on Dota 2
Select Properties
Click on the General tab (it should be selected by default)
Click on the “Set Launch Options” button
In the box that pops up enter -fullscreen
