Is there a MMR reset?

I haven't played this game in half a year and yet I'm still matched with the same rank as before? Is there no decline of mmr over time or a reset after some months? How many games do I have to feed to fall into the bracket I currently belong?

I think there's a button in the settings to recalibrate your MMR try looking for it in one of the tabs

This MMR reset is near to useless.
If you fail first calibration you fail forever.
One of the reason Dota 2 has so many smurfs the other one is because people like to farm battepoints much faster.
The system is designed to smurf no matter if it was intentional or not.

No there is no decay or reset, once you land in a bracket you stay there for the eternity, once you have a threhold of games the game will keep your win rate in 50% hence you wont ever go up or down

I disagree.
I got outta herald and almost at crusader now, steadily climbing up to the big boiz.
I genuinely believe the matchmaking is fine and it's normal to get trashmates once in a while but if you're good you'll climb up no matter what, until you reach the limit

Also you are either trolling or low iq. There is both involuntary decay and voluntary recalibration in dota so if you cant even answer a basic question about mmr decay, then obviously you cant be good at dota

For returning players the optional recalibration is obligatory after a certain time of non-playing. But in Dota2 there is no real reset that you can or have to play from scratch. That‘s a critical design feature of Dota2, with positive and negative consequences.

if you leave with 1k mmr and log in the next year, you will still have 1k mmr...and no, the recalibration that exist in your options isnt a recalibration at all...you will still land in the same place no matter if a pro recalibrate in a herald bracket this was confirmed already by a pro which recalibrated a low mmr account, ez reddit threads

The max i ever got was like ancient 1 or 2, i had 55% win rate those days, which was long time ago you can check that in dota 2 stats pages...then they introduced the 50% forced win rate and i started to lose so hard no matter what until i reached 50% which was like archong 5 or legend 1, since then ive been just bouncing there...ez forced 50%

Started at 100 mmr. Now I am 6k mmr. How does forced 50/50 work if I am 5.9k mmr higher than my starting mmr? No player above 4k mmr takes forced 50/50 seriously because they know there is a lot to dota. People who believe forced 50/50 are just monkeys with keyboards

My starting mmr ^ (101). That photo is 2 years old and shows I had 4k mmr then. 2 years later I have 6k mmr.

Do you see how your theory suddenly falls apart when actually applied to players that aren't monkeys with keyboards and actually accept they have things to improve upon?

You and Zocko are perfect examples of egotistical apes that can't self reflect on your own failures. A neutral game tells you that you arent good, and you still find a way to do mental gymnastics to believe you are more important than you really are. XD I have over 8k matches on this account. The fact you can't use 3rd party sources properly isn't my fault. But also proves you aren't good at research so your opinions on different topics is probably always wrong =(

XD kid is too lazy to hover over my account level in dota to see I have 9k games and a lvl 145 dota account. Then is told he is using wrong information. Then proceeds to claim victory. Delusion is strong in this ape.

Can't use 3rd party sites correctly (you don't understand how hidden data works obviously) and i didn't watch the last major because they use too many trash casters. I just watch 3rd party streams and in game w/o casters. When they keep hiring moxxi, then I stopped listening/watching their "professional" casts. This black guy sounds just as bad as moxxi so I'm not surprised he got to cast.
