nice EG won, but this TI wasn't that good at all, it was a Gryofest, actually the game was about "let's see who can win as Gyro" Lose a match a Gyro = lose the series

ti1= Did not know about MOBAs
ti2= Did not know about MOBAs
ti3=Did not know about MOBAs
ti4= I watched it and there was no hype. The only MOBA I know. Did not know any of the Teams.
ti5=BEST TI EVER. I KNEW ALL TEAMS. I HAD FAVORITES AND MY TEAM WON IT. OTHER MOBASs SUCK.

international 5 was in alot of ways alot better. open qualifiers giving everyone a chance, qualifiers being extremely competitive everyone was close and fought to get in (eu/us atleast). group stages 16 team main event, games games more games. a meta that is cool to watch. very high production value.

valve is starting to get behind how to make a great international outside of the DDOS of main event. it doesn't beat the magic of international 1 where everything was trash but it was super hype. doesn't top ti3 finals but it's the best event overall so far. the opening ceremony was just a 20min DJ tho, not an actual opening ceremony. i was expecting all players to show up for a last hurra or something. but i guess valve needs room to improve for next year

i liked ti3. obviously as a main event it was boring, but they deserved the win by going with strategy over common meta picks. i mean they picked meepo. this ti it was just gyro, tusk, lesh, and sf every game.

TI5 was exactly 1 TI better than TI4. That's just basic math.

i liked the plays even though you seen atleast 2~3 same heros in every match

i actually do not know about the preceding tis. however, i felt so bored everytime gyro storm was picked in this ti. There were some exceptionally executed plays though.

Just my oppinion.

Ti2 = Good
TI3 = Excellent TI.
TI4 = omg, that did not happen.
TI5 = Best TI ever.

Pro players will mostly pick meta heroes because a lot of money is on the line, and experimentation during a TI is not something most teams will do. But during TI 5, there were so many good plays/games. TI 3 also had some very good games (best TI after TI 5). Remember LGD vs Liquid. OR Alliance vs LGD and the famous base race, withTobi (screaming): YOU ARE A MAN SYLAR, YOU ARE A MAN, DO THEY GO GG...THEY RUSH THE GG...IT' S A THRONE RACE, THEY HAVE TO GO BACK, IT'S TO LATE, IT'S TO LATE FOR LGD...IT'S JUST NOT ENOUGH DEPS, SYLAR HES TRYING HES TRYING...what a game, will never forget it and TI 3.

i mean .. most games have a "gold year" then fall and no one remember them, this scares me
also we had ti1 red (haste), ti2 blue (dd), ti3 green (regen), ti4 purple (invis) now ti5 gold (illusion + bounty ? )
so wht's next ? orange for bounty ? new rune ? no more ti ( they also said that there were 4 compendium every year and something like this if i'm not wrong) ?

they have an entire year to think of it, plus more and more funds each yeah. not to mention the colour tone of the event is the least of their concerns
