Dota 2
Define Kill Steal
Seems I come across a lot of confusion over this in games. What counts as a stolen kill?

There is no Kill Steal in Dota 2 only Kill Secure

Most people here are sort of ignoring the steal part of kill steal. If the support takes it and has been doing most of the damage it isn't a steal. It's simply selfish play. It's not good, but it's not stealing.
Not necessarily. If its somebody like Anti-Mage, you wouldn't want him to be able to blink away if you have no more stuns/silences to lay upon him. So a support nuke might be required. And its situations like this that mean there is no clear KS from supports. In a situation like this, it might be worth letting the support get the kill because:
1) The carry might not and the kill might get away
2) At least he is dead and can't farm/support the team
3) You get the gold for the assist anyway. Net gold advantage is just as important as who has the gold
using a finger of death or laguna on a 5 hp hero that is surronded by 4 people and stuned

There are no such things as kill steals, only Kill Secures.

Kappa.
This is why you should always build a dagon. Secure all the kills!
Then you have the guys who over kill a great ult on a single guy... just to have the rest of the team walk up while defenseless. Like a SK who ults creeps... before the team arrives. lol
I'd say 90% of the time there is no such thing as kill steal. It sucks not to have a bunch of kills but it's a team game and in the end the only thing that matters is destroying the ancient. It's really frustrating when someone mocks a player for being 0/10 while ignoring they also have 24 assists or something like that. Kill stealing is a selfish mindset and not suited for team game.
Kill stealing is generally defined by the people involved when one is accused of "stealing a kill". This is mainly the player who was accused of the act, and the player who the accuser believed the accused had stolen a kill from, although involved persons may also include teammates, enemies, spectators, other people who witness said act in that match, etc.

The definition differs from person to person. Some believe that kill stealing is when a support kills a hero that was near death when a carry is near. Some believe that kill stealing is when a carry kills a hero while a support is near. Some believe that kill stealing is killing a hero while contributing little in the fight to said hero. Some believe that kill stealing is a teammate killing a hero, no matter the contribution, cost of killing, or how far the enemy hero was from themself. Some believe that kill stealing is using a high cooldown or mana cost spell to receive the last hit on a hero that would have otherwise died. And there are others who believe that "kill stealing" does not exist at all, and that acting in a way that other's would consider kill stealing is really just kill securing.
My post may or may not list all the ways people define the act of "kill stealing", but it's all I know so far.
What do you believe?

Zeus has the best kill steal skill ever; his ulti can kill everyone during or after a rampage when all the opponents have less than 20% HP

~This has been discussed before.~
Killstealing is the act of intentionally killing an enemy so that another (potentially more useful) hero doesn't get the kills. This is usually done by saving high damage nukes until the enemy is at low health, and then using them, even if your teammate would've gotten the kill without your nuke.
Most commonly done with Zeus, since you have a global range Nuke. Is also commonly done with Nature's Prophet, Invoker, and Ancient Apparition.

Did they not understand the ult+aghs upgrade, or were they that upset about their own KDA ratio?
