Silencer Counters?

Silencer is strong. Really strong. So I thought I'd look into some counters. Right now from what I can tell is that he's a bit squishy, but it doesn't matter when he's dealing 300 damage a hit, and you can't cast any spells.

What I've found so far is that you can Blademail, but unless you have a way to force him to attack you it's not going to do much. The other option is invis. If you shut him down before he shuts you down, you have a chance.

Anyone else have any ideas to stop him?

A) Early game, he has really low armor and HP. So, right clicking on him works, so does nuking him. But, his agility growth is very exceptional (will remove armor disadvantage as laning goes on) while his health gain is also respectably high compared to other intelligence heroes. So, these won't be foolproof.

B) Nyx is a great counter to him. All his spells are DoT based or delayed reaction, so Nyx has a lot of control over how a fight goes due to his Spiked Carapace. Nyx' Mana Burn will destroy someone with high intelligence like Silencer. But, this is highly dependent on whether Nyx got the drop on Silencer and was able to stun him before Silencer used Orchid on him or not (Core Silencer) or used Last Word yet (will still silence you). Nyx is a combo based assassin, and Silencer can break any combo if he is given the chance to cast his spells. So, it's a matter of who attacks whom first.

C) The holy mother of god counter to a silencer is purge or spell immunity. I can assure you silencer won't be able to even damage you if you have both Manta Style and BKB. Except his ultimate, none of his spells pierce spell immunity, so he can't do ♥♥♥♥ to a person who had his BKB up and running. The silence from the ultimate pierces spell immunity, but is purgable. So, activating BKB after he ults, Manta Style, Euls, Diffusal, all can remove this bothersome ultimate from you.

D) Ironically, Silencer's biggest strength is his biggest weakness. Silences will destroy a Silencer. If he can't cast Laxatives no google spelling, I am not talking about pooping, stop suggesting to switch glaives with laxatives Glaives of Wisdom, his right click damage falls. His other spells can only work if they are cast. Additionally, he is very squishy and can be easily dispatched by the enemy while silenced. But, if he himself gets BKB or a way to purge himself (like euls), then silences won't be that good.

E) Anyone with cheap and spammable spells can easily deal with Curse of The Silent, so BB is a great choice against Silencer. Since Silencer has a lot of delayed damage, BB can easily control when he turns his back to reduce damage taken and potentially have a quill spike proc'ed. But, mid game BB faces some mana issues and during these times if he dies near Silencer he can be crippled.

F) Gank him, he is very easy to kill once disabled, especially during laning phase when his for-some-reason high attribute gain won't come into the equation. So, any ganker like pudge or stunners like SS can easily kill him, if they were able to surprise attack Silencer.

Of course I can, that's what makes them good.

If you lose you were obviously not as good as the people you played again.

But you are matched with people of aprrox. equal skill so that doesn't really work then does it?

Dying is part of the game, you can't prevent it.
