What is it made of? Collector's Aegis of Champions
We all know that it has Antique Brass Plating. That is all well and alright. But what is beneath that plating? That was never revealed in the announcement. No response on Twitter or Facebook. I can't find any information here on the forums.

Do you have any information about it?
I'd like to buy it, but not without knowing the complete details of the metals used. For all we know they put plastic inside at the core, although I doubt it, there is still that small chance of the core being totally useless.

I was hoping to find some more details about this replica. It's tempting to get it, it is the first one that is made by Valve and available to those who wish to spend 4-5k dollars. It might be worth something in the distant future, depending on the evolving esports and how Dota 2 will be viewed upon in 10 years. But it all comes down to what is it made of, will it last 50 years?

Let me know what you think. Please stick to the subject.

The Aegis is a “1/5th scale alloy replica, with antique brass plating, of the winner’s trophy at The International. This is the best I could find.

Yeah, it's the only thing Valve have said about it. Which annoys me quite a lot.

Yeah it annoys me as well, there's no context into what exactly your buying if your going for lvl 1000 compendium. I've been searching all over the place trying to get an idea of what size this could be if it's 1/5 the scale of the original Aegis. There isn't hardly any information out there what so ever, and that makes it hard to pull the trigger.

The Collector’s Aegis is a 1/5th scale alloy replica, with antique brass plating, of the winner’s trophy at The International. Inscribed on the back with the year and a gold finished insignia signifying this year’s theme

"Alloy" is a bit ambiguous, but it's probably some steel or nickel blend. And it's probably around the size of a sand dollar.
