How is Pub MMR calculated?
Is there ANY information on how your Pub MMR is calculated? I'm having serious issues at the moment.
For a time I used to train for ranked in Pubs, meaning I went really tryhard, like picking Venge/Shadow Shaman and go full hard support and gank with smoke etc (which you rarely see in pubs) or went Naga (have 80% winrate on her) or Storm Spirit (60% winrate including the games I played to get used to him).
After a while Dotabuff said I played in High Skill and Very High Skill and it clearly felt different (people played pretty good in general and the matches were pretty even at least 50% of the times).

Then I started to play pubs for fun, tried new heroes, new builds, just fooled around and lost a few matches and the teammates I got became worse again (normal skill according to Dotabuff).

Now it feels that 1 of 2 games my team is absolute garbage, e.g. my last game:

Noone picked support, last pick was brood (after Undying and Bristle were already picked) who ran around without having a plan what to do, e.g. just went afk in web or used ulti on neutral camps while having full hp etc.
So basically things you screw up during your first ~300 hours in Dota.

What I wanna know is: Does the game only calculate your "MMR" according to your W/L-Ratio or does it take into account your K/D/A, how many wards you buy etc.?

Well that sucks... I mean how are you supposed to know how to play then? I won 4 games in a row that were super close with players of equal skill and then I played with 4 complete garbage people against a team with 2 garbage people and 3 normal players. It's just so frustrating, I'm this close to never play pub again or only to troll.

Basically everything is speculation at this point
Valve are guarding it more than the KFC herbs and spices recipie, which is odd because i didn't think a matchmaking system was much to guard

Valve has said they have a system for detecting smurf-accounts from new players (probably by tracking things like KDA ratios, GPM, etc) and boosting them quickly to the correct level. It also seems to be active during the calibration for ranked matchmaking. If you're not horribly mis-ranked though or actively trying to cheat the system, it mostly seems to depend on win-loss rates.

The issue would be that if they gave us all the details, almost certainly people would try to exploit it some how.

FIrst of all the PUB mmr depends on very first games you strated off with. Secondly, pub mmr just like ranked mmr depends on K/D/A, damage dealt to enemies and towers, GPM and XPM and other stats.
The difference is ranked MMR is being really hardly calculated for first 10 games, Pub MMR is being tossed around always. So you can preserve pub MMR as endless calibration games.

Well, assuming a system actually exists
