but the matchmaking is super bad and i think they want it to be super bad.
so that bad players dont lose 99% of their games, stay and keep buying cosmetics
the matchmaking is exactly the same in every single game, only in some other games, they tend to keep the "balance" at either 40% winrate or at 30% winrate, dota2 keeps it at 50% so even the most bad of the badest can still win a match or two (even if he feeds nonstop, 24/7 365/1)
the other thing is the ranked mmr. (we dont know how the hidden one works right?) it is completley balanced around w/l. however the win is a team effort and most players play a lot of solo games. that however should be ranked in team ranked mmr(as it is). solo ranked should be able to see individual accomplishments in some form too.( i know hard to do and people might abuse it, if gpm and K/D for carrys and assists or something for supports would count people would focus on that and abuse it ((if you tell them)))
another option would be that you can block people or have to rate their play every game(same as thereport system where the concept is that a big sample will lead to the truth)
and then there are countless heroes. so a 30-0 pudge may be a 0-30 invoker
but mostly that's a load of crap.
Lets quickly look at da facts.
Doto II: Hosting biggest prize pool of ANY eSport, let alone many real sporting events, only ONE year out of its beta testing.
Doto II: Been around since 2004 and still how many people are playing it?
Doto II: Been around since 2004 and still how many NEW players are joining it?
how you like those facts?
WHERE IS YOUR OPINION GOD NOW????
To the OP, any game can have large comps and a huge audience. But if the core gameplay is not well exectued, it means it is not "teh bes gaem eva!". You can keep posting facts about the comps and ♥♥♥♥, but until you post about the game being flawless, it will never be "teh bes gaem eva."
Not saying I don't like DOTA, but like every game ever, it has some problems...
