- Skill1: numpad1
- Skill2: num2
- Skill3: numpad Plus*
- Ultimate skill: num3 *
- Item slots: num 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
- Stop: num0
- Attack move: numpad .
- Skill 4, 5 (some heroes use them): ''', \
- Control groups 1 through 3: numpad /, *, -
- Level up: Space
- Courier commands: i (select), o (grab items), p (go to hero), ő (speed boost, this key is next to my p on my hungarian keyboard)
- Courier commands: num1 (return to base), num2 (secret shop)
- Camera move: directional arrows (since I dont need tem for anything else. This placement gives a huuge advantage when creep blocking and I can easily reach the arrows since I'm left handed)
The only disadvantage I found to this is that I cannot set up more than 3 control groups and even so, sometimes I'm having difficulties activating them blindly.
I usually set my hero on control group 1 as soon as the battle starts, that way I can find him blindly by double tapping num/
*: If you think about it, many heroes dont use their 3rd skill in the mid of a battle. Lots of them even have a passive as 3rd skill. I found that it is most vital for me to be able to insta-cast the Q, W and R, hence the odd placement for the E skill.
If you find my skill hotkey placement odd, then simply swap the hotkeys for E and R.
It it important to note that I'm playing on a laptop and thus my keys are tightly grouped, there are no gaps between the numerical keys and the letter keys and the arrow keys like on a normal keyboard.
