Good support heroes?
Can you recommend some easy, strong supports?

I have only played ~20 games and I'm usually on a party with 2-4 people. I have mostly played support classes as i dont feel like im ready to tackle other roles just yet. I have tried Witch Doctor, Dazzle, Warlock and Omniknight and so far Warlock is my favorite.

Crystal Maiden, Lion, and Bane are all pretty strong beginner supports.
IMO Carry is easier than support.
Shadow Shaman can act as a good support, Outworld Devour another. Warlock too. But you just gotta learn which one you like and benefits your team best, as some heroes are great supports but will be lacking if you have the wrong hero combination.
i like ancient apparation - his ultimate is sooo powerful - it stops the enemy regen and even if they stay in the fountain or get mekansm - They won't be healed. - he is very squishy though but fun and useful to play - disruptor is easy to use too.

I don't play him much, but I've got several friends that will occasionally rock him as support successfully.
Lion, Rylai, Zeus or perhaps Windrunner as support, bane needs some comprehension on the game more then point, click and bam

PS. OD is not a support

Crystal maiden, Lion, and Lich are all easy to learn
Rubick, Keeper of the Light, and Earthshaker are all much harder to learn but very rewarding when you do
I hated playing support as Lion.

Currently Warlock is far better mid then he is a support at the moment, generally better to play other supports than warlock.

As long as warlock isn't out farmed, or out numbered, he does make a good laner in general. Pretty balanced in most 1v1 and some 1v2 situations.
Rubick

Yes playing Lion support is so boring ... 658650574 / 633806787 / 645002961 :d2rubick:

Never said it was boring. I just said I hated it. He's just a hero that isn't for me.
Warlock.

He's fun to play and decent support. Good enough for pubs that is. You got a powerful heal and decent DOT, have a huge splashy ultimate that you can actually kill people with, and two more useful spells. I like Warlock. The micro-management and skillshots are kept to a minimum, so he is very easy to play. And if you do get money for any reason, then you can get up to four golems into play at once. :)
Rubick is, in my opinion, one of the most fun heros to play with, even more when there's a Pudge or a Mirana on the enemy team.
