Machine Check Exception
I recently upgraded to windows 10, but during nearly every match my game would freeze and cause a machine check exception. I did a fresh install of windows 10, but the problem still remains. I am using an MSI laptop with an i7 quad core, 8GB RAM, GTX 950M graphics. Does anyone know what is causing this or how I can fix it?

I havent found any possible causes or solutions yet, but ive given up playing until something changes
Recently, I have tried "Tweakbit FixMy PC" software and now I could say that the problem is gone. You could also try but it might cost some dollars. You can also make a refund if it is not working.

I experienced this same issue, I've got a new laptop with i7-5700HQ.

Installing the updated Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) driver package resolved this issue for me. Before the driver installation, there were warnings in the Event Log about the system firmware limited the CPU speed. After installation, these warnings went away, and DOTA2 no longer bluescreens.

You might want to do a clean reinstall of your OS and ensure your GPU/sound drivers are installed properly before trying again. Just to be doubly sure, ensure your machine settings meet the minimum requirements for Dota 2 Reborn.

No it's not. It works on my PC with Windows 10. It's more likely to be 3rd-party software not the OS. Update all of your drivers.

I just found this: http://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/22297-bsod-when-playing-dota-2-error-machine_check_exception.html

The chances of that, eh? Anyway for that Drunk Canadian to generalise it's Windows 10 is not particulaly useful. I did try looking for an answer, though. Seems that there is a conflict

I hope you find a solution.

oh, have you tried sfc /scannow from the command prompt to find broken system files?

Looked on Tom's Hardware site. One suggestion is a power problem (PSU or motherboard), and another could be an overclocked CPU.

There's a load of threads: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/s/machine+check+exception/
