Some people are lucky to have really warm relations with parents, siblings and so on. Altgough i also lack almost any communication with my father, i can see how a reminder about a recent loss of a dear person can REALLY hurt. Hurt real bad.

OP has the guts to admit his faults, that alone reserves a praise. I hope the guy who was offended actually gets to read this.

It's nice that you feel bad and you seem sincere about your apologies, but... you don't know if the guy was telling you the truth, not to mention, something that people should have when playing this game is a thick skin. This is a frustrating and stressing games sometimes. You shouldn't play if you can't handle what some people might say to you.

I'm not saying that you are right. You shouldn't flame like that (I also have been flaming more than I wanted to... oh well), but assuming you are telling the truth about his performance, willing or not, he was ruining the game for your team. If he didn't want to hear what you or anyone had to say about his awful performance, he should have just muted everyone. If he abandoned the game after your insults, it's even worse. He really ruined the game for everyone. As far we know, his dad might be kicking with heath and he just used this excuse to make you feel bad and quit the game.

Yeah, I'm probably being a little dense about this, but when we are playing, I, you and everyone involved is now commited to the game. No one wants to deal with people disconnecting, feeding, lagging and crap like that and pretty sure almost no one cares about your current real life situation (I know I don't). They just want to have a game without issues.

Like me for example. i told someone to quit running their mouth, someone else said "lololol i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ur dad". the guy was like "my dad's dead" and i kind of went with that. was it insensitive for me to go off on him? maybe. but you cant take everything everyone says seriously.

I actually did have a therapist growing up. i was supposed to see them during school hours (she worked for the school), but i would blow it off. it happened so often that they started sending people to get me, and in the end i just played scrabble with the therapist for a few weeks and she checked me off and sent me on my way.
