before he was able to jungle at level 1 thanks to is wolves now its quite hard to do that
also before his ulti will activate instantly allowing him to chase or escape enemy
I just dont like it when my wolves get ahead of me, and I am too lazy to micro manage the wolves. It may be a stupid reason, but there are many more intersting heroes for me to play.
and lycan is diffecient in some stats, like a bit of the strength carries. alot of the agility carries have high everything of stats in all catagories, and oon top those have better passives and abilities.
it's okay if that solo laner is already expecting to lose lane and knows he can bounce back later like when i am solo 1v2 as meepo or brood. i kind of like lycan on my team then. and with enough experience u know how to adjust to the constant 4v5, and the fact lycan will mostly split push later cause he is so limited. u can already know that , and then adjust and make lycan's job helping you easier. and not burden him too much.
