using a heros image on a customink t shirt illegal copyright?

I want a pudge t shirt but the ones i see on the dota store arent graphic enough, they're all just watered down kawaii cartoons of the original gankster that don't do a justice to just how fearsome pudge really is. So i was wondering if pasting a picture of the hero i found on the internet that does suit my taste onto a t shirt im going to make is copyright infringement since i haven't officially asked valve for permission yet. So do I need permission or do I have the go ahead?

if you are just going to do it for yourself, I don't think you need any sort of authorization.
