Zooming the camera too far would let you see "too much," so to speak. You'll need to learn to use your minimap.

I can use the minimap just fine, I'd just like to be able to manuver without shifting my camera every five seconds with edge panning.

Everyone has to deal with the same view as you do though- by giving you a larger POV you'd have an advantage over them. Moving your camera and checking different parts of the map are crucial aspects of the game to master- if you watch a pro-match from the view of one of the players, they are hardly ever focused solely on their hero.

That being said, I believe you can alter the view slightly by scrolling down on the mouse-wheel (or zoom in slightly by scrolling up). It's not much- you can do it a whole lot more in spectator mode, but make sure your camera is as far back as you are legally allowed.

i dont use edge panning, if you are good at multitasking with your hands you can use wasd to scroll, its actually more in-efficient to use edgepan because you have to move the camera and click sometimes, but it is meant to be easier. wasd you can move and click at the same time but you need to be good at pressing all keys
but if you zoomed out to much it would be over powered, it would be a decent hero skill though lol

ye they are 123, 4 for ulti and 5 for the extra ability, also zxcvbn for items. everyone says its bad though. i just find it more simple and efficient once you get used to it, but it is harder to get used to but more efficent
