CTRL+QWER not working.
Posted this on dev.dota2.com aswell but no answers yet.
I am so used to using CTRL+QWER to level up my spells and now, all of a sudden, it's not working.
I've tried everything.
My keyboard is working, I checked.
I've verified the game cache like 20 times, and I've reinstalled the game twice, trying both my SSD and HDD.
I've reset my hotkeys, nothing.

Any idea as to what I should do?
I am at a point where I am unable to play DotA because of 1 teeny-tiny thing.

Thanks in advance.

Whenever Ctrl, Shift, alt, caps, etc are not functioning properly.... I always advise people to try pressing Ctrl-shift-alt (altogether) rapidly (press them maybe 3-8 times, for no longer than a couple of seconds, the shorter is fine)

Often times its usually Shift that is the culprit, as many people complain after using shift in more poorly configured games, That sticky keys came up, but even though they denied turning it on, Their keys were all coming out "caps locked"..

and the way to free that up is the same, rapidly pressing ctrl-shift-alt

edit- I feel like saying it though shouldn't be the case, cause it feels like you might have already done stuff that would have cleared /that/ culprit off the list.. but maybe you haven't, and thus, there's a possibiltiy.

Nah dude, that wasn't the case. :(
Thanks for the suggestion though.

so the ctrl key functions normally any other way? pasting/copying etc?, just to rule out that there's something lodged in the key's recesses or anything like that.

Yeah, the key itself is working normally, tested it on http://www.keyboardtester.com/
I've cleaned the keyboard completely.

Check in options>hot keys tab. Ability Learn. Change to CTRL. Then when you do your CTRL+, you trigger that, then your key.

I am unable to do that since CTRL isn't a bindable key.
