Russian players on EU is a MASSIVE language issue
I've hard to come by a single game where my game does not mostly consist of russians on both teams.
Voice chat is either russians mostly arguing, but regardless its all in russian, and they yell at me and ping me for not understanding. As if I could.

If I try to say "english please". All I get back is "OOH AMERICAN, DRINK THE COCA COLA AND EAT HAMBURGER".
Or I just get yelled at for something I still can't understand.

Why is there no "english" language filter. Why isn't all russian connections preset to the russian language filter.
Prove me wrong, but the majority of russians does not seem to speak english, AT ALL.

Chat does not work at all, because well, they either don't understand, nor care to answer in english.

I will begin to statistically take notes of how many times this is an issue, recording game id, and if it was an issue or not.

Can we at least get a translation plugin to the dota 2 chat?
Cause I'm tired of reading russian all day, and getting no repsonse in english.

A translation plugin actually would be nice. Iirc there was a community made one at some time, but that already was abandoned and not working when i found it years back.

Translation and detecting the language should be no problem as that has been figured out. and with stuff like deepgram you can voice2text translate even voicechat. Speech synthesizers have been figured out too. So voice to translated voice is possible, but even only textchat would be awesome.

As long as you can turn it on or off it should be fine.

Volvo make this with battlepass money.

Thread after thread. Do you even use a search button, or you badly driven under western propaganda?
You see alot of russian-speaking players because the game is POPULAR among CIS countries. Go to the street, persuade people to play dota 2. SImple.

Sorry to break it to you but not all of us speak russian or even multiple languages at all. You may not notice it as such because you, judging by your comment, speak the language, so you are probably not impacted because you understand what's being said.

There is good and bad players in every country, a translation plugin would help to communicate and win with the good ones.

Yes, about 2/3 rds of all European Dota2 players are native speakers in a cyrillic letter language. Valve has an open server policy and the servers aren't where the players are. That's what we get.

Because there aren't any? Russians, Ukrainians, Belarussians and Khazachstans dominate European Dota2.

wouldn't take a genius coder to have auto-translate integrated in game chat..

yeah just like google translate. you choose prefix and it will translate for your preferred language.

I'm queueing US EAst til this either is solved, or for eternitiy. I can't anymore, the game isn't playable. It's literally like playing a single player game with terrible AI you can't control or communicate with.
