What is KS?
What can we call a ks,1. when you run in an seal the deal after your teammate fought,or 2. when you and your teammate fought the same person,is it ks if you did half of the job? :steamhappy:

It all depends heavily on the situation.
Oftentimes its the support that gets the kill on an easy target.
Since farm is more important on the core hero.

There are other degrees of KS, that will get more aparent to you when you play the game longer.

Sometimes its getter to give up a kill to the other person just to keep the peace, and saying sorry sincerely if someone claims KS is also important just to keep teammates happy ... the happier they are the more likely you win the match.

Easier said then done, i know from experience :D

PS: If you play Necrophose its NEVER a KS when you get a ult kill, remember this, but save it for core heros if possible. Tell your teammates that the enemys are dead longer (30sec) and cant buyback (when you have aghs)

Most common is a teammate just standing bye as you fight to the death, then when you die he gets the kill. Or comes swooping in to get last hit after you have done all the work.

But really in a team game, there is no kill steal , only kill SECURE.

Carries complaining about ks is so old/outdated. It is usually the lower tier carries that scream about this, as they just dont understand how things work, or are not good at farming and think that those few kills will somehow decide the outcome of a game. A support with a few kills early game is so much more effective, than a carry. A carry should get most of his gold from creeps/neutrals anyway. If I see an opportunity I try to give the carry first kill though, but if I see that our victim might escape, I take it without hesitation. After a while the carry will almost always get the kills as his dps/attack speed will increase far beyond what a support can manage. Ks is in my book only 1 thing... you jump in (after your carry/ganker has removed 90 + % of enemy health) and use 1-2 auto attack to kill an enemy which your carry/ganker could have finished easily alone. When chasing an enemy and your carry/ganker has almost finished him/her, just walk alongside the enemy. Dont attack, just be there in case. If you see that the enemy is to far ahead for your carry to reach due to movement speed just throw in that last attack and secure it. If fighting enemies that have good escape mechanism like AM, QoP etc... I never care about who gets the kill, just pump in the dps before their escape skill is of cd and they jump away...with 10 hp.
KS is every time I use Lina's ult. Other than that, it doesn't exist.

Whenever you come by and deliver the final blow to an enemy that your ally was fighting and clearly was about to kill. That's considered a kill steal. If the enemy is escaping and you're not sure if your teammate can catch up and finish him, killing him would be considered a kill secure. They will probably get mad either way but whatever, you did good.

Playing support I'm always saying sorry because I'll see something like Ursa with 50-60% HP go charging for a 3 lane push and I'll just out of instinct tele there and Illuminate or something, thinking my Ursa is gonna get rekt, but as I let my Illuminate charge, I start to notice that Ursa is the one reking and then my Illuminate casts and coins go flying...Sorry Ursa >_<

You don't really need to kill in order to increase your KDA, that I assume is what mostly of these people complaining care about. As long as you at least do 1 damage, you will be credited with an assist. I mean, would you rather be the AM with 10/3/0 or the AM with 0/3/30? You didn't kill anyone in the latter, but your KDA is way better. High KDA, bigger e-peen to show off.

Anyway, most cases people complain about KS is because they want the kill for themselves, not really because you or someone from your team did something wrong. There are some cases like people here mentioned that the complainer was right to be upset, but overall, I just say that the guy complaining about KS is nub and an idiot. Harsh, but oh well. People complaining about KS is one of the things that annoys me a lot in this game.

I don't really mind for my kills(supposedly it's mine) getting killed by others if it's really needed in the situation. What's annoying if when someone does it for the very obvious reason of KS. KS is obvious, it is.:steamhappy:

At the end of the day if my team wins and someone kept killstealing then it wouldn't bother me but if we lost and the same guy just killstole all game and nothing else, now that would bother me. ( probabaly report him too, lol)

Enemy is clearly escaping my other teammates at low health with no debuffs = Kill secure.

Enemy is escaping but slowed and my teammates are able to catch up soon/debuffed and slowly losing health = Kinda kill steal, but kill secure just in case an enemy might pop out and heal/save the player.

Enemy is being barraged by multiple teammates and about to die = Kinda kill steal (unless if you accidentally land the last hit), though definitely kill steal if you're Lion/Lina/Zeus/used a Dagon.

Killsteal doesn't exist in a team game..... sigh.

A kill that a player is upset with due to another player on their team receiving it.
Munchlax. Oct 13, 2015 @ 6:57am
If someone called you KS, it means that you gonna lose your game. KS is for people who plays just for kills nothing more, they need that to make themselves feel really really good. :steamsalty:
