Can I run dota2 on my laptop with Intel(R)Core(TM)i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40 GHz?

I checked my laptop for the requirement but I recently found out that it require's 2.8 GHz.
Is this true or can i run dota?

you test it. just compare your specs with the minimum specs to run dota2, which is on the dota2 page in the store, which is the same page you go to get the game.

my recommendation though is buy a laptop for around 1000 dollars, 2000 may be ripping yourself off cause you can get gaming laptops for around 1000, and laptops around 500 are just too cheap and not worth it because it's just better to invest more to pay around 1000 for a gaming laptop. you can get gaming laptops like msi gaming laptops or asus gaming laptops on amazon for price ranged from like 800 to 2500. just be smart, i've owned a razer gaming laptop, and alienware gaming laptop, and a msi gaming laptop. my msi gaming laptop was the best pound for pound. essentially as good laptop but payed alot less, and it still is very stylish looking.

I don't actually have a choice to buy a new laptop
all the specs are ok my only problem is this

I'd say you should just install the game and find out for yourself.

Most computers can run it on at least minimum settings.
