Dota 2
MacOS native apple silicon ARM support
When playing Dota 2 on Apple Silicon Macs, it uses Apple's x86 to ARM translation layer called Rosetta 2, instead of the game running natively, which hurts performance and hardware utilization. Please add native Apple Silicon ARM MacOS support to Dota 2.

yes please, and proper metal support !
I wish they just forget about us, Mac players. Because every time they made a change those last years, it ended very badly for us. Basically, the ONLY Valve game still playable on Mac is Dota 2. All the others have been removed and its not entirely Valve's fault, by the way.

What Valve wants is Apple switching/supporting Vulkain, removing Metal, and using Linux way of working.

The "game ownership is no longer dictated by platform" trailer is far gone.

Remain quiet and silence, just enjoy the game you can still play whatever the platform.

A former CSGO Mac player...

PS: also wish for Apple not removing Rosetta... like they did with 32bits... in a harsh way.
You have bought a device with "exclusive" platform, so enjoy it, lol

I bought the device AFTER the "game ownership is no longer dictated by platform" campaign and the introduction of Steam on Mac OS.

I enjoyed so much so many games with my Mac, not only Valve games by the way.

So I totally understand people feeling fooled by Valve about that.
But as highlighted, Apple is responsible, too. Maybe even more than Valve.

The harshest and most impactful hit came from 10.14 and 10.15 versions.
Apple hit first, let's not forget this.

10.14 : kernel, X360 controller community app not working anymore.
10.15 : 32bits out without notice.

Since 10.15, it's been a while, only CSGO and Dota 2 have been playable.
At least were until 2023.
