See the patch notes, now the balls explode upon contact when you upgrade with Aghs. It's still good, the new OP ability is Knife Throw, the aghs upgrade is infinite pierce, and when you max it out, there is ZERO CD, You can shoot your way out of most situations especially if you get Crystalys (daggers crit) and Psylactery (more dmg for projectiles), you can combine it into Khanda, Also get all the other projectile buff items, and Octarine core too.

try on level 7, you can't do it unless you upgrade max almost everything

i beat echelon 7 with this:

skills: counter helix, swashbuckle, stampede, track. extra skills irrelevant.

items: heart of tarrasque, daedalus, blademail, xp tome, octarine core.

-

basically early game prioritize swashbuckle and stack as much as damage as you can, then choose double treasure track scepter. after finishing daedalus you start building tank or octarine/bloodstone.

second scepter should be for helix and third one for stampede.

final boss goes down in seconds. you stand on top of it and helix procs and spams damage.
then you rotate to running when you're low hp. run up to boss when stampede hits, counter helix and blademail go brrrrr.

and thats it, gg.

edit: oh yeah and all i have from passive upgrades are just the amount of rerolls.

With kez I reached level 7 under the same thing you wrote, but at level 7 in the last stage the damage is short, I must find a way to clean the area, because that last minute I always lose, let's try again.
Thanks for the comment.

It seems that if you don't have Io orbs before the nerf or Swashbuckle - you can't pass the 7th ascension. Well balanced! I tried to pass on Vengeful Spirit. I read that her innate passive reduces the enemy's resistance to physical damage when they are affected by magic. Wow, I thought - this is perfect for rot + Axe's spinner. I collected everything necessary for this build (increased spell radius, physical damage, crits) - but, as you understand, it did not help.
I wonder if anyone passed the 7th ascension on Vengeful Spirit? And what was his build?
I am writing through a translator from Russian to English, because I do not know English. And you know in the game, when you almost died or died, a line from Axe appears, who says something about stupidity. So, my knowledge of English, as I already said, is not enough and I do not quite understand to whom this applies: to the player, or to the developers who tested the builds in this mode.
... nevertheless, I will give due respect to the developers that they made some changes to this mode (in the recent patch), although they could have simply abandoned it and forgotten.
