No news for this. The only recent development is Valve recently extending the end date of the event from Nov. 1st to Dec. 1st. But they did it in the code, without an announcement.

I read somewhere (I think it was at the end of TI where sheever announce the new hero) that the Crownfall event will end at 31 December. If they actually release the act 4 on 1st December its seems like we or most of the player will not enough time to finish it considering act 1 - 3 roadmap is pretty huge.

Unless, they made the act 4 smaller than the act 1-3.

bro what u talking about . me and all my friend finished the acts in less than 2 weeks. if talking on the real players of dota the acts is not huge at all and almost everyone finished them so what what wattt u talking about

good for you then, you still have alot of time to do it.

I believe you already know that every people have their own life and things to do irl, just because you can finish 1 act in 2 weeks doesn't mean that every people also have the same free time like you and can finish it in 2 weeks.

i spent 8-9 hours for work, and i am also on pretty low 3.5k mmr. Unlike you, i actually cant spam this game, 3 or 4 games is already make me enough for this game mostly because the toxicity itself.

Want to bet it's ready and whether they release it or not entirely depends on how gabe feels about the election

Yeah unfotunately this is due to working policy of Valve (which is I guess great for the employees, but not for the product/end users). Valve employees are not bound to project, they can switch freely between project, so I guess most of the devs went to develop Deadlock or new HL project, to get touch of something new (which I get, working on one thing several years can be dreadful). And that sucks, but the main problem is lack of communication, its forgivable that they are moving deadlines (Crownfall should had ended in August lol), but atleast they could comunicate that to the players.

Also I hate that they cancel Battle Pass which was the whole magic of the International (now TI is just a turnament). And what is even worse, is their reason to cancel battle pass. Which was to release updates more frequently and not just during the summer before TI, which how we know was a lie too, because updates are not more often and the crownfall supposed to be in the same time like batlepass.

And due to all what I mention above, the game is slowly dying (or atleast not growing/developing), look at LoL. Riot is doing oposite. Regular updates, createing tons of content around the game. I get that its because LoL is Riots primary income, on the other hand dota is just a drop in Valves income. I would love to see level of care for Dota as LoL has, but that is just a silly wish of mine.

yea, i also hear somewhere that one of the reason they removed battlepass is just to make casual player can receive some premium ♥♥♥♥ by playing more game from event.

Which is dumb.

If they poor and don't have money then ♥♥♥♥ em. it is not my problem anyway that they dont have money, but this thing become one of the reason they removed the battlepass.
